He's not coming...:(

So DH and I are leaving for Seattle for 5 days on Saturday WITHOUT K.

I've been bouncing back and forth on this for the past how many months, and in the end, it will be a no go.

1. It's a conference for DH, I'm just tagging along.
2. It will cost us about $400 to bring him (needing to rent a car, getting a fridge in the room, not to mention having to buy diapers and what not while we're there since it will be 5 days and packing it would be a lot of luggage space)
3. My dad said 'no' (Very protective of his daughter and her family :roll:)

So we packed last night, and I watched him sleep (gah, I'm tearing up right now!) It will be a very hard 5 days and 4 nights. I'm sure I need the much needed rest. DH and I have been at eachother's necks lately, so maybe this is a much needed vacation for us two....

Awwww! I hope you have a really great time, I know the rest will be very good for you... I am sure he will be fine...and you will SO VERY ready to hold him when you get back! What will you do with yourself during the time DH is busy with meetings, etc. If you have too much free time, will you be hard on yourself for leaving him? You don't want to me miserable! Try not to worry (yeah right) and try to relax and enjoy your much needed break - and get some SLEEP above all else! I'm kinda jealous... not for five days, but I could use just 1 night away!

Wow, I hope you are OK without him. I just couldn't do it, especially with all that downtime. It's Seattle - you could buy things there for him like diapers, yes?

During the down time..there is an indoor pool and jacuzzi, FREE internet, a gym, a mall a block away. I'm hoping to be able to work on my photography website and get that finally up and running and start making business cards....

They do have all the stuff at a local grocery store, but it would just be tough...I wish I had more money to just keep buying everything we need, but that will defeat the reason why I'm going (b/c Dh's company is paying for the hotel, and technically a free trip. there are also events like dinners and a welcome gala that I"m sure that kids aren't allowed to go to). If I had the extra 500 to bring him along, MOST DEFINITELY, but we'll save that money for our trip to HAWAII VACATION! :wink:

5 days will be heck without him, I don't think I can really do it, but it WILL be good for me and DH...::sigh::...

Take out your destination and put in FLorida, and your bambino's name and put Lauren and here you have my story back in June... It was sooooo hard to do it, but DH and I had a blast and Lauren NEVER MISSED A BEAT! It was sweeeeeeeeeeeeet when we got home though... have a wonderful time and take care of you and DH and get ready for the sweet reunion when you get home!
