I could have killed dh!

So in my quest for 100lb weight loss...I decided to take the kids for a 3 mile bike ride to get a bagel....1-1/2 up and then 1-1/2 back....so we start heading out...now mind you it is hot here...probably in the mid 90's at 9am...and humid...but we are tough....get about 1/4 of a mile from our destination...and I am...just spent...I am huffing puffing...I feel like I just ran a 10k...now I know I am 90lbs overweight...but this is not a new ride for us! Then Isaac says....your tire is flat...no hunny bunny...daddy fixed my tires yesterday....no...julia's tire is flat...ON HER CART! OMG!!!! Now I am closer to the gas station to home....so I go beg for a free fill up (sent the kid in...always use the cute kid)....fill up...go to the bagel shop and call larry...who says...ohhhh yea that has been flat for awhile...I haven't been able to find a small intertube for it....URGHHH!!! NOW HE TELLS ME!

So I am pretty darn sure I lost 5 lbs on this ride today ;)

and the crappy excercise week was made better by today's three mile ride...lugging the 28 lb toddler on flat tires!

Wow sounds like something my DH would say. Sometimes I wonder what they are thinking. Good for you doing so well pulling a flat tired cart.

So let me get this straight....they charge you to fill up with 'air'!? That is insane!!
I am glad that I live in NZ...I can't even count how many times I've had to pull in to fill my bike tire.

As for Larry, go easy on him, he is after all only a man.

Your DH sounds like my DH. I just love those "Oh yeah... " comments. Not.

I've just come back from a 4 hour party at a water park - with fish girl Eliza. I'm shattered. All the other parents sat their chatting and casually watching their kids... Not me. I must have gone around that water park 400 times.

Maybe that's another weightloss idea???

I'm very impressed with what you are doing. You'll have to give me some tips...

Yes...most gas stations charge for water and air...for your car...anywhere from a 25-75 cents....that particular place does not charge for paying customers....

Some of ours charge here too--and some don't. You know which ones I go too. I have to admit though, 10 years ago a lot more of them charged then do now.

Wow. I guess that's why gas (petrol) is so cheap compared to here & Australia!

I'd usually get DH get in too, but he was in Malaysia and in any case, with the three girls, I really have to get in to be safe. It's not pretty, but oh well...
