New computer ho!

Well girls, this will be the last weekend I'll be without you!! I had a mini-arguement with DH this am in regards to when to buy the computer. I was going to take a long lunch today and have him meet me, and then he could just take the computer home. No, he didn't feel like doing it today. :shock: He wanted to do it Sunday, so I can drive back to the town where I work for a 6th day this week. Anyhoo, thought of a way out of it, my dad is stopping in town on Sunday, so BOOM! I left him a message saying I was going to get the computer on the way home tonight. He won't be happy, but....meh, oh well. It'll take time to dig out the modem cd to load, all the SW for the digital camera, and all the other hoo ha to load. But, the first thing I will do is get the internet set up!

Hope you guys have a fabulous weekend, and I will be seeing you on a regular basis real soon. Let the obsession start again! :lol:

Well, I got it. And I already HATE it. I have always, always, always hated Microsoft. Did I say always? DH really didn't want a Mac, and I just didn't have any fight left in me anymore. So Vista crap it is. Okay, everyone I've talked to has said pretty much the same thing. You have to turn off the security settings in order to get connected. And yep, sure enough, the only way I can connect is to turn off the security. And press 'allow command' every 3 friggin seconds to complete a task. I should be happy that I have a brand new computer, but I HATE VISTA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay, whew, I feel better now!!

Vista soes suck!! Sorry you have to deal with that. I'm not a Mac fan though, I have Windows XP and I really like it.

Hoefully you can make Vista work better for you...or your Dh will lwt you return it for something else.

Um, yeah. That's pretty much how it goes! gahhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!! Oh and I like to play Bookworm on Yahoo. I went to download it, and after I paid for it...surprise! It won't work with Vista! So I am trying to get my money back and am truly annoyed!

I have not really heard a lot of good about vista, but if you can get someone reformat and put XP on the new machine it would be much better! Than you would have a much faster machine becuase xp does not use as much space as vista.
