Why? WHY?!?!

I know there was a thread about this earlier - I'm just not sure where it is.

WHY is it that all of the sudden within a couple of hours, do I have a child swinging from my ribs thinking they're monkey bars when he has been wading in the pelvic pool for so long. Shouldn't he be going down around now?

WHY are my feet and hands swelling all of the sudden?!?! I'm so not going to be able to wear shoes anymore and my ring won't come off! I was going to get it cleaned tomorrow. So much for that.... ARGH!

I didn't swell at all with Aidan and he started high up so I didn't know the great uncomfort of the low baby. Now that I have had both....neither is wonderful!

BUT I'm so glad I get to meet my guy soon!!! Wouldn't trade this for the world.

Evan's been in my ribs a lot too, and yesterday my ankles were swollen worse than they've been in a couple of months!

Miranda, I didn't swell a lot with Tori, either. I think the difference is that LAST TIME, we both had May babies. THis time we are pregnant in the miserable month of August and the swelling is part of that. I can't wear my rings either and I'm home in RI and know I'm going to run into people from HS who I'd love to show my rings to and stuff but I can't wear them. Ick.

Lucas is also way up high suddenly. I thought he should be dropping by now, too. Grr.

My hands and feet have really swollen too. I usually have really skinny fingers and now they all look like cocktail sausages! LOL I can only wear flip flops at the moment too, so Im hoping the rain doesnt start again (Im in England and we had nearly three months of storms and severe flooding).

my mid wife says that swelling is due (among other things) to a lack of protein in your diet. Try to add some lean chicken to your dinner.

I am swelling too. And my feet hurt SO bad I can't even think about wearing flip flops which sucks because its SO hot here!

Tell me about it! We've been experiencing monsoon season here in SW China for the past month, and not a day has gone by without rain. I can't wear "real" shoes and my feet get so cold and wet. I hate swollen feet.

I haven't ever had swelling, and I'm happy to be carrying high again...so I really dont feel your pain there, BUT I do want to say that I"m really sorry you are so darn uncomfortable!!!!!

I hate that! And flip flops always slip off your feet when you wear them in the rain dont they? So you have to walk even slower!
