So I have one of those thermometer's that saves the last temp. Well, I've been temping at 6am when DH's alarm goes off, and just staying in bed. And then I'll later look at the temp and chart it. Well, according to that lovely thermometer. I've been the same temp like four days in a row, which just didn't sit right with me. So I took my temp again, and waited.... and then turned the thermometer back on. Yeah, not the same temp.
I'm so pissed.... which means my temps are way off... I mean we're not tryiing to this month, and I figured this is pretty close to my O time, but still, we will be trying next month, and I had hoped to have the charting down pretty decent.
Stupid piece of junk.

I'm glad you figured it out early!
I could never find a thermometer that saved the last temp and always had to turn the light on to read it at 6am. ouch my eyes!
Sometimes you can have the same temp 4 days in a row. Also, your temp can change quickly, if you've sat up or been moving around.

I've been using the pink BD basal temp. thermometer for years, probably 6.5 to 7yrs at this point & love it I've never had it go wonky on me, short of once when the battery started to die.
I'm really sorry your therm is wonky though, but like the pp said at least you caught it early! That's a good thing :)

I don't know what kind you are using but the first few times I used mine I had the same thing happen. I quickly figured out that I wasn't holding the button down hard enough to get the last temp, it just always reads out 97.7 before it is ready for you to take your temp... and I thought at first that my temp had been 97.7 for three days in a row. Maybe that's all that it is? HTH!

I've also been using the pinkish-purple BD thermometer for about 6 years. I haven't seen that one in stores for quite a while. They were a lot nicer than the ones now. It has a lit display and it saves my last temp faithfully.
I don't think I could turn on the light at 6AM. Yikes!
