:confused:i mean, mine are in a block on the counter, she could get on a chair to reach them. i try to keep them off the countertop if they're dirty.... is this a huge concern? :dontknow:

I keep mine in mason jars on the very top shelf of the most boring cabinet. We have ten foot ceilings, so the knives are about nine feet off the ground. There is no way they can reach them.

This has jsut become a concern for us as Wreden takes things off the counter now. Hence having to cancel my ATM card on numerous occations already in the last couple months becuae WReden takes it off the counter and throws it away. "I help clean mommy" ..... oh gee thanks Wreden! LOL
Anyway we keep them in a block on the far corner of the counter. She needs a chair to get to them and the chairs are too heavy for her to move. Plus i'll be blocking off the kitchen soon since Connor is now crawling. No more leaving them laying around on the counters. I also have to wash and put them away ASAP as she can get into the dishwasher - she likes to help "unload it" even if it's dirty dishes

Our situation sounds a lot like Lynette's. Ours are in a block on the counter in the far corner of the kitchen. She could get to it but so far she hasn't tried (she moves our chairs all over :-? ) One thing I have to be really careful of is when washing knives I have to keep them in the other side of the sink until I am about to start the dishwasher because both girls can unlock and get into the dishwasher and do on occasion. I found Sofia with a knife once and that was the end of putting knives in there before I started it

Mine are in a drawer and I still have my locks on it so she can't get into them anyways.

Luckily he doesn't seem too interested in my (very sharp) cooking knives. He does like to hold up the regular dinner knives and inform me that they're only for "gwo-mups." I keep the cooking knives in a block on the counter and he doesn't get near them.

Mine are in a drawer. She leaves them alone because she knows they are very, very sharp and she could hurt herself.

This has not been a concern for us yet either. I guess I should take precaution anyway though. Right now they are in a block in a corner of the counter.

Ours are also in a knife block on the bench. Jessica too would need a chair to get to them. She doesn't even touch them when on the bench after being used as she knows they are very sharp. She doesn't even touch the butter knives in the drawer when getting her own cutlery.

Yeah, ours are on the counter too, but Brooke doesn't seem to be too interested in them...I think they are far enough back that she couldn't get into them too easily....I hope! ;) She's outsmarted me before! Unfortunately, we are living in an old farmhouse with not much cupboard or counter space, so I'm not sure where else I could put them that would be completely inaccessible. Of course, she knows that she isn't to get into them. And, of course, she always listens! ;)
