1st day of Pre school

We the first real day was yesterday, but since we were on a plane home Kaya's first day was today. She had so much fun and took off into the classroom and forgot all about me. Here is a picture of her on her first day.

BTW, I showed Abby her pic and she said, "She's not at school.... I can tell because she has her shoes off and you're not allowed to take your shoes off at school." :lol:

Esther she is really enjoying it! She especially likes craft time, that's my girl take after mommy and daddy.

Shannon that is funny what Abby said. They take their shoes off because the school even though not Montessori takes a Montessori approach. And one of the things they do is have as much calm and quiet in the room at all times, hence the removing of shoes. The also play music at times and the children are expected to not raise their voices over the volume of the music. It is great self control and something I have tried at home with success. :)

Wow she looks so grown up. I am happy to hear she is doing so well. The school sounds great.
