What method of Birth Control?

I'm just curious what method of birth control all of you who are done having kids are using.

I am on the pill right now. DH will be getting snipped when we have time.

Well we tried the NFP and then we were doing the pulling and praying method. Obviously that last one didn't work for us. :rofl: Once the baby is born I am getting my tubes tied. Which I have GOT to say I am SCARED TO DEATH of having it done.

I hear ya Monica... I do not want to go under the knife either. Problem is... neither does Ray. I have read that it's a much easier procedure for men than it is for women, so you should try to talk Greg into it. :wink:

I just got the book The Garden of Fertility to learn NFP. Since Ray is scared sh*tless to have REAL sex unless I'm on BC of some sort, I'm having a hard time convincing him this is a method of birth control. I am so friggin' fertile, it isn't even funny. He is positive that we will get pregnant each and every time we have sex unless there's some chemical involved. :roll: MEN!

Ray is silly, it is a simple doctor's visit to get snipped. No going under. Although, I think I would throw up if I watched!!!! Take some codine and put ice on it for a day and your fine. There is a lady on the twins board who's husband had it done just last week I think and he was fine.

K, now I'll explain my method of BC :lol: Very confusing!
I was on the Depo shot b4 having the twins. I loved it! But read somewhere that it can cause multiples or infertility.
I had my tubes tied when I had the girls and was fine until almost about a yr ago. Af's and pain were so bad that I had to go on the pill to help regulate. That didn't work so I went on a stronger pill.
I was pretty much done a few months ago and went to my ob. He is going to take a look 'up there' and see if I'd be better off with no uterus. lol Now that would be the best form of BC. lol

I am taking the pill (femodette) but am not happy on it mainly because I hate the idea of putting extra hormones and chemicals in my body is not TOTALLY necessary. My doctor prescribed it to help with pms, erratic cycles and terrible ovulation pain but I'm not convinced its actually making any difference (aside from the O pain!).

I keep trying to persuade DH to have the snip. My feeling is that my body has been through enough with the babies and I would like him to step up and do something positive for us! However, he is concerned that perhaps we will have a change of heart in a few years and decide we want more kids........PERSONALLY, my thoughts are that he is **** scared of the surgery :lol:

It is so simple for a man to get done. Sometimes it is a simple doc visit. They are not put to sleep and dont have to cut like a woman does.

I'm on the pill right now as I do want another but I would like DH to get the snip snip once we are done - well in his mind we are but thats another post for another day :) He doesn't want to get the snip but in my mind, I had the kiddos so its his turn to step up to the plate!

We are currently doing condoms and/or diaphragm. I hate putting extra chemicals in my body too, so we went this way. Dh will be getting the snip snip in a few years, once we decide we are done too. (I'm pretty sure I'm done, but I might love to have another!) We decide even before having kids that dh would be the one to have the procedure done, as it is so much easier for men. :D

we use the pill for now, and once I am fully ready I will be getting my tubes tied.
