Jadens CF appt.

She gained some not alot but enough to make them happy. She is 29.8lbs and 37 3/4 inches tall. Over all doing well. Her throat culture was the worst today she screamed and kicked, Jackie held her head and I had to put my body over hers to keep her still. The nurse got the stick in her mouth but couldn't pry it open cause she was biting down so hard. She finally let out a scream and she got it. Gave me some tips for school and a book for them and a cup to help teach her how to swallow pills. A good appt I guess. Dr. said she a very healthy CFer. :) We went for lunch afterwards and she ate great. Oh and I took her in panites and she did great. The ride is about 1hr 45 min. She slept some and when we got there she said she had to potty and she did, then she pottied before we left and at the resturant. I knew she had to poop on the way home but waited till we got home to tell me. We go back in two months. Now we wait for the throat culture results.

She and Hanna are about the same size! Sorry she didnt gain quite as much as they wanted but at least she had some gain. Yay for her going in panties with no accidents! WTG Jaden. KUP on her results. As always you are wonderful when it comes to her!

Wreden is close to that size too. She was 29lbs and 38" last month. I'm glad thats things went well and that she did so great with the pottty! Here is to hoping the throat culture comes back perfect!

Glad she had some weight gain! Sorry to hear the throat culture was kind of tough. :(

Riley's right around that size too. I think he weighs more now, but he's really not linebacker size either, if you know what I mean, lol.

And Cherie I know of a little girl who started swallowing her enzymes at 2. It is a cool cup. It has a place to put them and then you fill it with whatever and when they drink from it the pill and drink mix and you swallow. I haven't trired it yet.

Sounds like a pretty good appt. Sorry that the throat culture was so hard. I sometimes wish William was that size :D . Thinking about my IRL friend's toddlers she would pretty much be average. That would be great if the cup worked. I know my brother started taking his own pills pretty young, but I can't remember exactly when. I just remember my mum had to have him doing it before he started preschool.

Sorry I'm late on this. :oops: That throat culture must've been a killer. It's so hard to see your child struggling and having to hold them down. I'm so glad it went well, otherwise, and WTG for keeping dry panties!!! :yahoo:
