Every once in a while my baby fever goes CRAZY and I just can't stand the wait anymore!

This week, a few things have done me in:
~my bridesmaid is due next week with her first
~a co-worker came in with her newborn...I got to hold her. SO PRECIOUS!
~anotehr co-worker announced she was pregnant
~ANOTHER co-worker brought in pics from her sons first birthday
~my maid of honour sent me belly pics of her first pregancy, due in december

I can't take it anymore........ December needs to come and FAST!

That would drive me crazy!! Seeing other friends' babies is what really got my baby fever going too!
Just curious, any chance you can move the date up for TTC? then you could be on maternity leave in the summer rather than pregnant in the summer.:D

I don't know where you live, but that's my plan!:D

You know my husband and I had planned on an Oct/Nov pregnancy. We wanted a July/Aug baby not only for those two months but just because it would be a better time for us since we have quite a few things going on. But then we thought that there will always be something that will suddenly come up and all that time we were thinking we planned it right. So we figured, why wait and plan a certain month? We're planning our first pregnancy but it doesn't have to be so structured down to the month...just go for it! So thats what we're doing. We moved Oct/Nov to start in September and if it happens now, great. If it happens in Oct or November or December...fine.
Is there a reason why you're waiting for December? Does it have to be during that time? If not, why not start now?

If we had a baby in the summer (in other words, got pregnant in October/November), I would miss out on some benefits offered in my contract. Basically I get topped up mat leave pay for the first 6 weeks (which works out to full salary), but only for days I would have worked normally (I'm a teacher and don't work in July/August). It's so stupid, but we basically get penalized for having a kid in the summer and don't get our full salary for those 6 weeks. So we're waiting for financial reasons.

Essentially what it works out to is that unless we have a baby during the school year, we lose out on a lot of $$. Sounds silly, I know, but it works out to be a lot of cash considering mat leave pay for me would be about 40-45% of my current salary. So those 6 weeks of full salary would help out alot since we're not rich by any stretch of the imagination.

I know what your going through! Some women I know are either pregnant or they've already had their babies. I have over a YEAR to deal with this baby fever! But I think I'll be okay! :)

I hear you! Three of our friends just had babies, and another is pregnant. Sometimes I just want one of my own right now. DH was feeling the fever too - the other day we were watching the movie Three Men and a Baby, (it was on tv) and he said he was getting the itch. Hopefully time will fly fast!

Speaking of baby fevers....my niece just told me last week that she is prego! My 23 year old niece is prego...for the 2nd time!!! Her first daughter is 6 months old and now another. I need to relax though cause we just started trying and I'm already getting inpatient wanting it to happen already

Hey ladies, I completely now what everyone is going through. Last week Thursday and Friday we welcomed two new nephews. Another nephew's girlfriend is due in April and my brother and his wife find out their due date later this week. Oh wait we got another nephew in August. Dh and I were planning on waiting til April to start TTC again, but he just told me that he is ready now. So that is exciting, now I'm not sure if I really am because I don't want to do another California summer pregnant. We will just let it be and it will happen when it is supposed too.

Ash2005...I was in the same boat when DH and I decided to start now but I figured, where I am, it's not too bad during the time that I'll be prego...if all goes well and this is my month. I would be due end of June and my area of California isn't too bad during that time. And I'll be on maternity leave during the summer festivities

That's my plan too. I want to be on maternity leave in the summer so dh and I will start trying (or at least stop preventing) late next summer into the fall.
