Hi Everyone,
I've posted a few times here and there since Kiera was born, but I'm unfortunately more of a lurker than poster. :( I hope everyone has been well...
This bored seems so slow these days so I'm not sure if anyone's around to help me, but my dd fell out of her crib this morning and climbs out the second I try to put her down. She went without naps today because of this and now I have an overtired and extremely cranky baby. I bough a crib tent to give that a shot, but she's screaming at the top of her lungs that my husband and I have been taking turns the last couple of hours trying to calm her down.
Has anyone had this problem? What can/should I do? Is it too early to can the crib tent idea and try to train her in a toddler bed? Any advice is GREATLY appreciated.
Thank you!
Sandy

There's a few that have faced this on the Feb 06 board - come visit us ;)

Sandy!!!! I've missed you. I was thinking of you the other day hoping all was well.
Most everyone posts on CC rather than here, although a few of us still check in. We're looking to have another Oregon meetup and would really love if you join us.
That said, if she is screaming that badly with a crib tent, I'd say that going to a toddler bed is a good choice at this point. I've known several people who put their children in toddler beds very young, and as long as the room is childproofed/well-gated she should be fine and learn to stay in her bed.
PM me if you lost the CC link. It really is good to see you.

Thanks Tracey - I'll be sure to check out the Feb 06 board for some advice/tips! :)
Last night was pretty rough, but tonight she only cried for about 20 minutes and then fell asleep...of course I've had to pretend to fall asleep in the chair next to her crib.
Hi Cheryl,
I've been thinking of you too! Things have been crazy here, as I guess they always are once you have children, eh? I had an early misacrriage last November, but am happily pregnant once again (22 weeks now) with a baby boy on the way! I think I have the CC link somewhere, but if I run into problems, I'll pm you. I'd love to get back into this board, as it's always such a nice group of women and great conversation! A Portland meetup would be a blast - can't wait!
Chat with you later,
Sandy

Yea - I think I read once they climb out, it is onto the toddler bed. But given this is my first, I don't have any BTDT knowledge! And please do come over to CC. We'd love to have ya! :)

Congratulations on your pregnancy! Little boys are wonderful. Do you have a name picked out (that you are sharing) yet?
I'm not sure what we're going to do for the meetup yet. I need to harass, um I mean REMIND, Aless and Meegan and Ellen about it again. Since it's basically been a year, we're long overdue.

Hi Sandy,
We've moved our DS into a bed in preparation for our new little one's arrival in a few weeks. He's been doing great! It was a transition and I'd say it's taken about a month to get him really consistent in the new bed, but it does work! You'll probably need a way to gate or lock your LO in the room so they don't wander, but other than that it's great!
Congrats, BTW!!

Hi Sandy!
David is in a toddler bed too. He's doing GREAT! His room is babyproofed, and we haven't had any problems.
The CC link may have changed since you had it last. The board crashed once, and we had to make a new one ...so you may want to get that link from one of us. Let us know. We'd love to have you back.
