Hi there ~ sorry it took so long to get a response to you ... Might be better to start a new thread but AP parenting, the basic concept is meeting your babies needs, ie: things like not letting the baby CIO for hours on end ..
A gentle way of parenting I guess one would say, each person will have their own deffinition to what AP parenting is though :)
Welcome :wavehello: to our board!!! If you have more questions, please feel free to ask away!! Might be best to start a new thread though :)
Wow! This thread was started sooo long ago, but I'm going to go ahead and introduce myself and post some piccies anyway :-D!
My name is Liz and my DBF is Ray. We just had our first little girl, Willow, on April 26th! All during my pregnancy, I read about AP and thought it made perfect sense. I wasn't sure how capable I would be, having never been a mother before, but I have found it totally natural. Unfortunately, I am a working mom. I just returned back to work (part time) in the afternoons, so I have Willow in the mornings and Ray has her in the afternoons. So far it's working great.
I'm sure as Willow grows and her needs change, I will be asking lots and lots of questions. I hope that's ok ;-)!
Anyway, here's some pics of us:
Here's DBF Ray
Wow, I had never even heard of attachment parenting until I stumbled upon this board, but it is exactly what I do. He never liked the sling (he is a very big boy and I think it cramped him a bit), but he loves the Snugli. He naps with me during the day, and sleeps with us after his first feeding of the night. When I am not with him he sleeps in his bassinet, but I pick him up as soon as he starts to wake up.
Welcome you guys!!!
Liz ~ you guys are a very handsome couple!! And what a sweet little darling you have there!!! That flower outfit is SOOOOOOOOOO cute! lol Do you do theater?
Merri ~ welcome hun! That pic. in your siggy is sooo cute!!! It's nice to have you here as well!

I have a 4 week old and I just found this board.
DH and I are 25 and Peter is our first baby. I guess from reading all the post that I also am an AP. We co-sleep, breast feed, use a sling and cloth diaper. I am one of the host on the cloth diaper board. I can't wate to get to know everyone.
