I really did not know this exsisted! Wow, I'll start frequenting this board more often.
My name is Angie and my little one is Clara (really Jeanne Claire). My DH is Jamie (he's an environmental scientist).
We are cosleepers most of the time, but her crib is attatched to my bed so even when she's in it we're together. We are also all about being close and usually at home we're skin to skin. And YES, I plan to let Clara breastfeed till she falls off!!! People complain I never put Clara down and she's gonna be spoiled, so I call her my rotten apple for fun. I don't care if she does get "spoiled", whatever that really means. She'll always know she's safe in Mommy and Daddy's arms and that is so important to me.
It is also very important that we use all environmentally safe products and natural foods. DH is a vegetarian (though he does eat seafood) and I will be again(at least for a while) as soon as Lent starts. I will not give Clara any meat until she's old enough to decide she wants to try it. I want her to be as loving and gentle as possible and it's imperative she treats God's creatures with compassion.
So I guess we're a co-sleeping, breastfeeding, tree-hugging, sling-wearing family. Woohoo!

I'm Kari and a WAHM. I have a DS, Zachary David, who is 13 years old and a DD, Molly Anne, who is nearly 5 months old. I'm married to Molly Anne's Daddy, Paul.
I started AP when Zach was a babe. I didn't know there was a name for it, I just knew it was right for me and my family.
We use cloth diapers, co-sleep, wear our babes, exclusively breastfeed until solid foods are introduced, and practice child led weaning. I was a La Leche League Leader when Zach was a toddler, but have long since retired since I thought I couldn't have any more children.
Molly Anne was born at home with the assistance of a lay midwife. She was my HBAC and I still get choked up thinking about how wonderful her birth was!

Wow, Kari, a HBAC! I am so impressed! My mom had my sister at home 3 years after my brother was a cesarean, but I've come to realize she is not the norm. So hearing other people do it is really impressive!
Angie, I think that 's a great idea about letting DD decide if she wants to eat meat.

OK, since yesterday was my due date, I made DH take a picture of me. And, look, I'm not in labor yet. How exciting! :D
I'm trying to remember that he will be born when he wants to be born. I think I'll have labor similar to my mother's and sister's...sputtering for 3 or 4 days and THEN actual labor!

Hello, I thought I'd introduce myself, I've been lurking for awhile now. My name is Dana, I have a one year old daughter, Amaya. We live in Montreal Canada, I'm a 31 year old student, I'm studing Early Childhood Education. I practice attachment parenting, we cosleep, breastfeed and I still use my sling. Anyway, I hope to get to know you all, it's always good to have support when your practicing attachment parenting.

Hello everyone! I have posted several times, so I guess I should introduce myself -
I am Wendy and I am married to a wonderful man, Chadwick - he is an editor/post production animator/film snob :wink: and we live in Austin, TX. Right now I am staying at home, but before I had Ella (who is almost 3 months) I was a birth/postpartum doula/nanny/AP snob. We breastfeed (though it was the hardest thing I have ever done - we had lots of problems), co-sleep, sling or just plain carry her around. I find it so odd and ironic that caring for, responding to, and loving your child is so radical. Ella and I have had lots of ups and downs - a homebirth transfer, and 6 weeks of pumping before we could bf, car seat -phobia, and now teething - but we are very close and very attached. I have been a member of the February 2005 birth board and posting over there a bunch, but I am branching out a bit more now. (Hi Misty!)
