Baby Registry

I completed my baby registry online last night. I had never done one before, I never had a baby shower before - this one wont be any different but I figured if my friends or family living out of state wanted to buy at least they knew what I all needed. I love my MIL... within 10-15 of me sending the email, I get a text message to check my registry LOL She had bought almost everything on my list... I was like WOW, THANK YOU!!! And yay, so I dont have to worry about it all.... I did already buy all the big ticket items (minus the breast pump) but still there were some expensive things on there such as the pump and swing and bouncer - she bought all of that.... anyway, just wanted to share, I was so excited! Smile

OMG, J, that's awesome!!! Your MIL rocks! That is the sweetest thing I've heard - and with my pregnancy hormones, I'm almost crying! LOL I hate that part of being pregnant! Wink

I started a BabiesRus registry, too. Since this is my 4th, I wasn't expecting a shower or anything, but I started as a way for me to track what it is I'll need, etc. I figured it would be a good thing to use as a list. LOL

But then DH reminded me that it's HIS first baby, and so his family will probably want to buy things for us. So we are going to go in store to finish it off and put more on it in the next couple of weeks. And then one of my coworkers let me know that they are planning to throw me a shower here at work, so I guess it never hurts to have a registry and be prepared! LOL

I started to do a baby registry on Babies R Us as well but then after I was half way through, I decided for what I needed, Walmart had the same stuff at a better price. I mean Babies R Us still has more gadgets and goodies and overall better variety but for what I needed - the basics, onsies, pjs, socks, crib bedding, bath, bouncer, etc it was cheaper to go Walmart route. It was actually fun to do - basically putting a wish list of things you want and need together. Smile

That's awesome of your MIL! To me it was overwhelming when people did that for us with DS.

I'm not having a shower this time, and if I do it's a total shocker to me. I had 2 with DS and still have everything! It's only been 3 years and we knew we were having more, so I held onto it. I do need a better pump, the one I got just didn't work well. Plus we are CD'ing this LO so I need those. I figure I'm going to register anyway, that way if people do ask what I want I can just guide them to the registry. Plus most places give you a discount on the not purchased items after baby is born...and every little bit counts!
