Feels like things are starting...

My due date is Aug 4. With DS I woke up at 230am with contractions unlike anything I had felt during my pregnancy. 9 hours later he was born. (I never noticed losing the plug and they broke my water at 9am).
I had a sweep Monday and felt contractions and cramps for much of the afternoon and early evening. Then when I was driving DS home from a playdate at 430 I had nearly continuous cramping and contractions. I thought I had noticed some plug bits a couple hours earlier and think I have seen more since. The baby has been more active all evening than is typical and I am having some good contractions and cramps every hour or so. So we will see what the night and tomorrow brings! We might be there!
(my mom's deliveries with us kids were fast and given my 9hrs last time and that I am 5cm already I am expecting things to go fast once they start).
False alarm would be ok too though - more time with DS!!!

I am laughing realizing some of the things I left to last minute. I had big plans for waxing this weekend (tonight I shaved to be safe!). Also somewhere during labour I envisioned Picking up dog poop in the yard so that the yard was clean for our dog and my parents dog to play when they come down to watch DS. Too funny!).

Well after all that excitement yesterday things ground to a halt last night. Then no further contractions all day today - until this evening when there are occassional ones and lots of baby movement. And we wait...... Smile
On the plus side - I am enjoying my time at home with DS who is 2! We have gone swimming (Monday) and had a play date each of the last two days - plus walks to the park with the dog! I am getting back in the rhythm of managing the house - laundry, dishes, vacuuming, etc instead of sneaking it in after work etc.

Well nothing too exciting. I have definitely had more contractions starting this evening around 5pm and some are intense but they are all short and no regular timing. So who knows?!
Happily my parents arrived (from 3 hours away) for a weekend visit and to help with DS (age =2) and in general since DH is working nights this weekend. They gave DS a bath and are currently walking my dog and theirs! *My mom is a maternity nurse and stayed with us during my delivery with DS so it is nice to have them here if things happen (instead of 3 hours away). I am expecting a fast delivery since DS was 9hours start to finish and my moms labours with us kids were 5&7 hours.*
