Got Milk?

Anyone have milk coming in?
I don't have white, but am filling up with clearish liquid...like I did w/ the others, but earlier this time...

my son still nurses, I can tell that my full supply of milk has changed (based off his nursing habits), but I haven't noticed a change in colour. Maybe it went from milk to colostrum? Who knows.

I started to leak colostrum at around 30w with DS. I had to start wearing nursing pads at bedtime or I'd wake up with a soaking wet shirt. I wonder how it'll differ this time since I'm still breastfeeding?

I haven't experienced this, yet... When does this typically start to occur?

I believe that it just depends on the woman. Some women start to "fill" sooner than others...some women won't get milk in till after delivery.
Mine is clear...and when I get ready to delivery it will change to a yellowish/cream color (colostrum)...then will turn white.

(same thing in horses...)

I was just wondering if this was really early or if others have it too.
I have leaked before w/ all, but never this soon.
I filled with my son early...and then after delivery it really came in~ I was swollen up to my collar bones...lol. Hurt to breathe! HAHA! I was STACKED! LOL!

If I squeeze my nipples, I get clear fluid, been having it for about 3 weeks now, but it doesn't leak out on its own. I chase DH around the house with it on my fingertip...hahaha

I'm still nursing DS so i have milk, he still has nice milky grins, but I'm not sure if he's getting less than before.

I remember with both pregnancies I could express some colostrum early on. It has no bearing on your milk supply though, so if you're not able to see any colostrum, don't worry Smile

I do! I didn't have it until around 30 weeks last time. I did not have much milk either... maybe 4 oz per pump on each side. Sucks!

I do have some now though! My boobs are bigger this time around also! Hoping for more this time around!

don't let what you pump be any indicator of how much baby gets at each feeding. a baby is MUCH more efficient at getting milk than a pump. I make enough milk for a small country and can only pump 2-4 ounces at a time if I'm lucky Smile

yep, me too! I can't pump to save my life (or anyone else's) but I know I can feed a baby from the tap Smile

No leaking here (I don't normally) but man oh man there's something heavy in there and they feel heavier earlier this time.
