Hello belly, goodbye everything south thereof...

This is my second baby (first is 22 months) and in the last week I have exploded around the mid section. I still have not gained a lot of weight (due date Aug 4) but my belly has expanded rapidly. The button and button hole in my pants are approximately 4 inches from even saying hello to each other anymore (wore them with belly-band today). So I am breaking out the maternity clothes in earnest now. I have officially gone from "maybe she is just fat" to "wow - she is definitely pregnant". On the plus side - the morning sickness and discomforts are pretty much all gone. I am not drinking anything after dinner to reduce middle of the night peeing and am starting to experience some of the joys/struggles around getting out of bed, bending over etc. But this is our last so I am trying to enjoy every moment. Oh - and I am having lots of movement - not strong enought o be felt from the outside yet but there are days that I think my cervix will be punched out of my body. (BTW - we are pretty sure we saw boy-bits on the ultrasound - boy #2 for us).

I was trying to do a little clean up in the southern region the other day and realized quickly that my belly is quite a bit bigger than I had given it credit for.

I told my DH last night when we were messing around that if it bothered him he better bring a weed eater or a bush hog the rest of the pregnancy cause I just am not going to extremes this time.

some women go to great lengths but get it done. i just give up at a certain point and give DH a warning along with the reminder that I am very busy growing his baby! Smile

Yea! My old boss told me about how when she went into labor with her son she actually took a shower and shaved her legs before going to the hospital.

Not me - when I can't do it anymore I can't do it!

So last night I shaved my legs and did a little cleanup south of the belly... it took me twice as long as it usually does and by the time I was done, I was exhausted. ROFL I may just decide to forget it the rest of the pregnancy!

hahahaha I totally did this with DS1. I was in the shower anyway so I thought WTH? LOL. I was induced with DS2 and would shave just before my weekly hospital visits.

I applaud all of you who are comfortable with letting it grow, I'm not there yet Smile I usually clean-up downstairs myself shaving, but as with the rest of you, it's becoming more and more difficult. Does/has anyone gotton waxed while pregnant? I understand your skin is more sensitive and it makes me a little nervous!

:lurk:
I'd love to know if anyone's waxed over stretchmarks. I have some that go down into my hairline, and am afraid that they'd rip, or get very irritated!
