We haven't done a QOTD for a while, so I thought I'd post one...
Do you celebrate Easter? If so, what do you have planned for this year?
We do celebrate Easter. This year my twins' birthday happens to be ON Easter... but unfortunately, they will be with their dad that day. I'll have them on Saturday, though... my mom's side of the family always celebrates Easter on Saturday. The whole extended family will gather at my aunt's house and eat lots of food, and this year we'll have a birthday cake for my girls, too. Then on Sunday, DH and I will probably go to church, and then it'll be like any other normal day... no kids, so maybe we can get some stuff done around the house.
We do celebrate Easter. We are Catholic and Easter is our biggest celebration and the most meaningful part of our religion! I will probably go to mass Friday night and then again on Saturday night for the Easter Vigil mass and then as a family we'll have church on Sunday morning after finding all the "treasures" the Easter bunny leaves for us and then it's off to my BIL and SIL's to have Easter dinner with the family. DH's siblings switch off hosting holiday's but the whole family gets together and we have a great big meal and an Easter egg hunt for the LO's. It's always a blast when we get together with DH's family!
we do an egg hunt and a small gift (skipping rope, bubbles, sidewalk chalk..etc) from the Easter Bunny.
We do an Easter egg hunt and it leads to a small toy as well.
I love Easter! Our plan is church, eat, and somewhere in the mix give the girls baskets, maybe hide a couple plastic eggs filled with candy for my youngest. I just wish we had Fri or Mon or both off of work. Its funny how we get 3 or 4 day weekends for random "holidays" liek Presidents Day but not Easter?! Oh and I also hope to get a nap in after the ham! LOL
We love Easter:0) We are having a big family get together and egg hunt:0) We also talk about what Easter is all about;0)
We are taking the kids' pictures too! I can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We definitely celebrate Easter! We are Christans so we will go to church in the morning, eat, and have an egg hunt. We normally dye our eggs on Saturday evening. So much fun!!!!!
We usually attend church; however, DH and I moved away from family and he's now working in another province (we're really spread all over the place!); so, this year, I'll probably just stay low key and attempt to cook a half decent meal for myself! haha I do have friends here; but, no one has mentioned any plans. If I'm invited anywhere for a turkey, ham, etc., I'm game! haha
My family has a dinner and we hide eggs for the kids. Both DH and I have to work but we will be going to the dinner that evening. I play to dye eggs later this week with DS.
