They want to induce me at 39 wks!

My son was almost 10...my daughter was 9...the other dd was 36 wks and was 7#s.
Abram is really big already...so they discussed induction...
I was induced with the last 2 and already dilated to 3cm...I like the fact that I get my antibiotics in before they start the pit. then they break my h20.
It only takes about 2-3hrs for me to go 3-10...at least w/ the other 3. So I like the idea of getting all of my meds in.
I'm praying this time, like the others, I am dilated so I know that my body was "ready"...
It is coming so soon! July 19thish...(Not sure when...but around then)
Talk about reality! I have nothing ready! I did with all the others...I'm so behind!
AHHH! I need prayers for a safe delivery and healthy boy! :0)

Why do you need to be induced? You already know you can birth large babies.

July 19 seems SO soon!! I would NOT be ready for baby that soon hahaha I'm sure everything will work out though. Everything has a way of working itself out.

I was induced early with my DD2 and she was big...so I guess that is what they are thinking...I think I will be OK, if I am dialted...but it makes me nervous.
I know, I am so not ready! Not so much adding another...but just getting stuff around and ready...so much to buy! AHHH!

Can I ask why they're wanting to do it at 39 weeks? It's already so close to your due date, anyway! Will one week or so make that much of a difference in baby's size?

Wow, thats right around the corner Smile Its funny how until it was posted a July baby was born, it still feels so far off but I guess it really isnt... I think in some ways its kind of good (at least it would be in my mind) to know when you are giving birth. And for me, living so far from the hospital (70 miles or so), I am afraid I will go into labor and not make it - well if I feel like I couldnt or it was an emergency I do have a hospital a few miles up the road - but me being military if I can help it, I really need to go to the military hospital and I really dont want the headache afterwards for billing - military would pay but it would still be a headache... anyway, well looking at the positive now you have a better idea of what timeline you are looking at and can better be prepared. And good for you on pushing out those big babies Wink

We are also about an hour away from our hospital. It is nice knowing and being able to get the sitter for my kids...extra groceries for them...and know that I won't have him too soon...so I can get the antibiotics. (almost lost my son at birth)
I understand about the billing...we got bills a year later after each baby...insane.
Thank you for the positives!!!:0) They were definitely a challenge to push out...lol. I'm very glad my pelvis gets all loose...and allows them to pass through.
I've been having a lot of braxton hicks...the past month or so...they keep getting stronger....exciting that it is coming so soon!

I was induced at 39 weeks with both of my previous pregnancies. While I don't want to go that route this time, it went well with both of them, and I don't have any regrets. Smile Good luck!
