Wishing I could do more..

I feel like there is so much to do in preparing for the babies' arrival and DH's homecoming... you know just spring cleaning type stuff and organizing and I hate feeling so limited. Friday and Saturday I think I over did it - consolidating the toy room and organizing DD#2 room bc by Sat night I was cramping and tightening up and Sunday all day pretty much I laid down and just relaxed and it eased up but it still was affecting me at work yesterday - today I was fine.... but I feel like I am def more on a timeline now more than ever since I am getting bigger by the week LOL... Last week's appt, I was 20 weeks measuring at 23 weeks already which is normal but I am feeling the need to clean and do more but realize I can only do so much. Anyway, just a vent...

On anther note, I have a friend who is almost 19 weeks and at the doctor as I type she believes she may be having contractions and has been cramping badly for the last 2 days... I am hoping that it turns out to be nothing but please have her in your thoughts, thank you! Smile

Update: My friend was sent to labor and Delivery but turns out the baby is ok and cervix looks good, they believe its a fibroid causing her discomfort and have put her on bed rest for a couple weeks in hopes it will settle. THey believe it may have been aggravated by her increase in activity - go figure she went on vacation recently Smile Thanks for the thoughts and listening Smile

Glad your friend is okay! How scary to go through.

It's tough in the later part of pregnancy because you're not as able to do stuff as you were before. Take it easy. As hard as it is, this is one of those times in life where it's okay to ask other people for help.

You, even more than most of the rest of us, need to take it easy from here on out! When I was pregnant with my twins, my OB put me on reduced activity at 22 weeks - and I was having no problems that would indicate a need for any special precautions... but with having two in there, it's so much more important to keep yourself hydrated, rested, and to not overextend your body and muscles. By all means, clean, but pick one project a day - not three! Lol

A few tips that I picked up along the way: Yes, you're trying not to overspend, especially with two little babies coming, but spend a little extra to get your groceries delivered, and have someone come in once every couple of weeks to do your deep cleaning. Enlist friends, family, neighbors, church people, whoever you might have around, to come help you as much as possible with other things that need to be done around the house that might otherwise overextend you - window cleaning, yard work, etc. Doesn't your mom live with you, or isn't she close? See if she can take on your laundry, especially if you have to hike up or down a flight of stairs with those heavy baskets. Anything you can do to reduce the stress on your body AND your mind - do it! Oh, and I think I've told you this before - if there's a MOMs club in your area, join it! You won't believe the amount of help and support that you'll receive from the other MOMs - they've all been there and know the value of a few helping hands! And too bad you're so far away from me... If I was near you, I would be over in a second to help you out! Smile

Thanks! Yes my mom lives with me and she already does the laundry LOL Thats her THING but because of her MS (multiple sclerosis) she is very limited physically but she does help, as does DD#1 (who is 16)... I think its just me - a control freak who likes to have things a certain way haha
