Went in for my regular schedule appointment. Heart beat was 150-152, it's always such a relief to hear it. Starting to feel movement more. I've lost another pound so the np was questioning me about that. I'm overweight anyway and I'm only down 6 pounds, so I don't understand what the big deal is. I haven't changed my diet much except I don't drink soda or coffee as much as before pregnancy. I haven't been sick and the nausea went away around 10 or 11 weeks. Anyone else losing weight???
I was supposed to see an actual Dr this time, but had a woman doing her residency under him. Not that there was anything wrong with that, but this is my first time delivering at this hospital and I haven't met any of the Dr's yet. There are 4 Dr's and two nurse practioners (i've seen both of them) and the one i seen today. So I don't think I'm gonna get much time with one certain dr.
I have my big ultrasound on Friday. Hope the baby cooperates so we can find out the gender. Maybe we can start focusing on names, too.
Hope everyone is doing well!!!
Glad that you had a great appointment! I've been loosing weight too, but it is because of my GD diet. When I can't eat anything fun, and have mostly veggies and protein it is hard to gain weight. I am over weight though so it isn't a huge deal that I'm loosing. I just figure that I have plenty of fat for the baby to grow off from!
Good luck at your U/S!
Sounds like a good appt! I haven't lost weight with this one yet but with DD I lost 5lbs near the halfway point. It didn't freak my doctor out but it freaked me out for some reason...I just wasn't expecting it I guess. But I am overweight too so I guess it was good that the baby was sucking away some of the fat, lol.
Oh good, I am not alone! I am still down 5 pounds from the day I found out I was pregnant. At one point I was down 8 pounds so I did gain 3 back. I am overweight as well.
I am a bit worried though just because both of my sons were very small at full term. I think it was more due to high bp than not eating enough though. I am eating a much more balanced diet now so hopefully this baby will be bigger.
Morel baby- I can't imagine having GD this early, I have really reduced the sugar in my diet but sometimes I just crave something bad. Last pregnancy I had to take the three hour test and they said I barely passed.
Good luck at your u/s, I hope all goes well. I love this time of pregnancy, finding out what people are having! And feeling movement, yay!!

ds Zachariah is 5 (Jan '08 ) 5lbs 4 oz, 19 inches @ 38.5 weeks
dd Annabeth (Aug 2 '13) 7 lbs 5 oz, 19.75 inches @39.5 weeks
SouthernMom- I had it with the girls too, but was diagnosed at the regular time. This time they tested me early and my numbers were already high at 11 weeks. It sure is lousy, and there are so many foods that I miss, but it will be really nice to not have extra weight to lose. If I stay the same or keep going down, delivery will be the best diet that I've ever been on! I just hope that I can do what I need to for the duration of the pregnancy and that the baby is nice and healthy.
