Birth plans...
Hey fellow mommas! This board is off to a slow start, so lets get it going! Does anyone have their birth plans mapped out already? Or at least an idea of what kind of birth you want? For those BTDT moms, what were your other births like? Natural or epidural? Vaginal or c section? Are you gonna go a different route this time around?

I have had four vaginal deliveries, all with an epi with the exception of my first. He was all natural and I learned my lesson there (that delivery included an episiotomy and two internal tears). Because of all that excruciating pain, I knew natural childbirth wasn't for me (although I'm sure I could do it now, as I've never needed another episiotomy or torn... Knock on wood!)... Especially since my last baby was 9 lbs 1 oz! All four obviously have been born in a hospital, the same one, and this will be another hospital/epidural baby for me!

My DD was a vaginal birth with epi. I was induced about a week past her due date. I would love to avoid being induced. I will be in a different hospital as we have moved since DD's birth, but still plan an epidural!!! Just hope that these dr's are as good as the one i had before.

I have had 2 c-sections and would prefer not to have another. I really want to experience a vaginal birth, but we will have to wait and see if my bp and swelling return this pregnancy and send my doctors into a panic. I just want a healthy baby.

I have had two vaginal hospital deliveries. With DS I had a long (19 hour) labor and epidural. With DD my labor was much shorter (6ish) and I was able to go drug free. I would love to do it again without any pain meds, but if I feel like I need the epidural I will get one.

All of mine have been c-sections. The first one was an emergency c-section with a horribly long labor and I didn't progress at all. The other 2 have been planned c-sections as I never want to go through that horrible experience ever again.. So this one will be the same.

I have had two natural births with my girls. I went into the first one wanting to try it without an epi, and it wasn't too bad so I made it all the way through. The second one was born about 30 minutes after arriving at the hospital. Although intense that wasn't too bad either. I've always had a MW, and this time I will have a MW again and I hope to try a water birth.

I was just thinking about this the other day! I had an epidural vaginal birth with my daughter and all natural no drugs birth with my son. I always said I wanted a water birth if we ever had a 3rd baby but unfortunately my hospital doesn't do water births. My son was a very fast labor and I am thinking this baby will be too so I am pretty sure I would like to do an all natural birth again :) My husband thinks I am crazy and he says I don't remember how much pain I was in! My doctor just says to arrive extra early to the hospital or you might have your 3rd baby at home and since my hospital is about 45 minutes - 1 hour a way I do worry sometimes.

I want this birth to go exactly like my last one, but with a much shorter labor: hospital, with an epi as soon as I was admitted. It was great.
With DD1, I was in labor for 56 hours, but it took 46 hours before the contractions were close enough to get admitted. I spent two days timing them and as soon as I had two that were five minutes apart, we jumped in the car and went. By then I was ready to collapse. That epidural was the greatest thing ever.

I had a hospital birth with epi with DD. It was a great experience. Labor was only 9 hours and it seemed like she just really wanted to be born. She was very cooperative and I only pushed twice! Everyone tells me that I'm going to get paid back with my second one so I'm nervous. I would like it to go exactly the same! Doc says I should get in quickly because the first one was so quick. I would love to have my water break naturally again as well. That was the coolest feeling and I've heard that getting your water broken for you can hurt....
