    Default Clomid questions....

First off Clomid is like evil unless of course it gets me pg this month lol then it's heaven sent. This crap really screws with my body. Like last month in the 2WW I had tons of pg symptoms that were all from the clomid which sucked as you can imagine. Then it gives me major mood swings, headaches, nausea, backaches and I've been feeling really fatigued tho IDK if that is the clomid. Anyway I had that last month (Which was 1st clomid cycle) and again this month. However I'm not feeling the intense O pain leading up too (and during and after) O and I'm getting worried I might not O. My MW says clomid usually causes O to happen at about the same time which would be cd 15. Today is cd 14 and I'm just a little crampy not like last month when I was bloated and really crampy the day before O. Also my OPKs have been about the same every day with a light line which is also different from last month where I had a progression. I responded well last month progesterone wise 53.4 was my level do I would think I would respond like that this cycle. Anyone have any insight? I'm new to fertility meds and ttc is weighing on me this being my 8th cycle post m/c. My temps have been funny too dipping then shooting up then dipping again. If I don't get pg this cycle my MW is switching me to Femara as I've not gad any EWCM this entire time ttc and clomid won't help that at all if that is my issue.

    Tiffany,
I don't know a whole lot about clomid. I am starting this cycle for my IUI. My RE told me that I will ovulate earlier. I'm usuall about Day 18 and they said I will probably be day 10-14. Thats the only insight I have. I have to say I am not looking forward to all the clomid side effects. We are only doing 2 cycles with it and then moving to injectables. I've heard people like Femara better. BTW- do you do your OPKs twice a day? Sometimes my surge only last a little while. I will be positve in the morning and not in the eve. So maybe you missed. Your chart looks like you may have ovulated on the 12th. If that is the case you have good timing. Lots of luck.

I swear I act like I'm on Clomid though I'm not. I can't imagine being anymore of a hormonal mess than I am naturally (at PMS time especially... had a rough day today.)

Just remember, eye on the prize!!

Kate I do them at least twice a day lol. Im just slightly obsessed. So I dont think I missed it. Today is cd 15 and this mornings was the same but then this evenings is much darker. I am also feeling more abdominal discomfort bordering on being painful. Im betting O comes tomorrow night. I usually O later the same day I get a + OPK. Hope you get a BFP soon!

Sarah I didnt think I could get worse than my PMS self either. Then I took clomid lol. Its not just b*tchiness (like my PMS), im sad, cant think straight, you name it. It seems to lessen emotionally though after a few days but the physical effects stay on.

I find myself going through hot flashes with my meds. Yuck! Although they are helpful as it is freezing here (and we have a ton of snow). I have to say that I will be happy when I am not having to give myself daily injections.

I can imagine the side effects from injectables are more intense Margaret. I get some hot flashes w/ clomid but not a bunch. I hope the time goes til you are done w/ the daily shots! I could do it if I had too but it would certainly be hard to do. I think it would be easier to close my eyes and have someone else do it but I know my dh could never he is super needle phobic.

DH is terrified that the needles are hurting me. I don't even feel them at all. I did tell him that he gets to mix the hcg for me.

Daily between days 3-12 and then the trigger on day 13 (or possibly day 12). Then I get to do progesterone suppositories Not fun but if it leads to another baby I can do it!
