    Default Hospital bag!

So... Anyone thinking about their hospital bag?
    I have mine half done.
Need my meds... Underwear and a couple more nightshirts.
Plus need to sort bottles formula and clothes for ninja.
It's hard work knowing what to put In there.
Luckily Angela from the July board has sent me a list.
Anyone else trying to be organised?

I have a bag out and have a few things in it. So far unscented baby wipes (they don't provide those), a nursing tank, a turbie twist towel (c-section, so will shower at the hospital) for my long hair that I never blow dry, and an empty toiletry kit that I plan to fill. I know all sorts of stuff that will go in, just haven't packed yet.

I have learned from experience to prepare an emergency bag even when planning a homebirth! But I'm going to wait to put that together till after we move. the most important things for me are socks, extra pillows and a phone charger! I would also want to toss in extra pads and other essentials b/c you can't count on any of that... Israel is just not a service oriented culture... at least not yet!

I am bringing my boppy, it was really helpful last time. I am thinking about packing a separate bag for the baby. That way dh won't be messing up my stuff looking for baby stuff. They don't provide any clothes for baby, just diapers and blankets so I am not sure how many clothing items I am packing for her.

Don't forget: cash/change for dh's food, tablet and cell phone with chargers, kindle loaded with good books, camera fully charged with plenty of memory, snacks/bottled water (I don't trust hospital water and ice), pjs that are nursing friendly, chapstick, lotion, deoderant...just making some notes...

When Robbie was finally born they wanted to move me to a private room (I was in a semi-private room ie 2 beds). I told them no way, I had been in that room for 2 weeks, I was NOT moving. lol I spent a total of 5 weeks in the hospital over the 5 admissions in 12 weeks. Not fun at all. In all my stays I only had a newborn in my room once for a couple of hours, most of the time I was in the room myself, or another antipartum mum.

I did have a separate bag for Robbie which we only brought once we were sure that he was coming.... our hospital provided everything and then since he was in the NICU they provided more stuff then the PP rooms provided.
