Looks like I'm here now!

AF found me this morning! I'm just happy to start this cycle fresh because my last cycle gave me a hell of a headache! I feel really confident for this cycle.. I have a HSG scheduled around CD10 and I'm using Soy Iso 120-160mg CD 3-7 or 5-9 not sure which one yet.. My doc wants to put me on Clomid 50mg next cycle.. but hopefully there is no next cycle.

What are you ladies plans for this cycle??

Well since we were talking about it on day three of my cycle, i'm taking my last pop of soy tonight. We'll see if it makes a difference! Smile I have my followup with my dr on Nov 7th for the blood she took last week. Then we will discuss options of what to do next. We know what's going on with me, seems like the main thing is to make me O. But now really starting to worry over DH's workup that's coming next. Trying to be positive!! It just seems to have been so long already!

I'm on CD 1 also! It appears after looking back on my cycles that my LP may not be long enough so I started talking B6 tonight to see if that helps. I am also OPK'ing. This is our 2nd cycle ttc #2. It took 7 years to conceive DS I am hoping it wont take that long this time!

Baby Dust to all!!!

Hi Ladies! I just had my IUD taken out on the 25th so I'm still trying to figure out what the heck my body is doing now. I haven't had a period since I had my DD so I'm not quite sure what is going on. Sad I had some light spotting over the weekend but nothing now, so hopefully I'll see AF in the next week or so. After that, I'll be using OPKs and Preseed (had great success with this last time).

Susan - you said you were on day 3? What days did you take it and how much? You're supposed to take it like Clomid for 5 days at least 80 mg.

Marianne - We're cycle buddies!! Baby dust to you as well!

Carolyn - Can the doc give you Provera or something to make your AF come? A lady on another board never got her cycle after her last baby, but now she's preggo. So just keep bd'ing.. you never know what could happen! GL to you!!

When I talked to my doctor she said to expect AF anytime in the next 4 weeks and if it doesn't show up by 8 weeks we will talk. I'm also still BF my DD, but over the past month she has really cut back so I started to feel my body trying to get back in gear even with the IUD so I'm hoping that with it out now, my body will just do what it wants to do. Smile I also started monitoring cervical position and CM over the past 2 weeks and I'm starting to see a pattern. I think I might have ovulated a few days ago so hopefully in about 2 weeks AF will show. Smile I've never been so excited for AF to arrive! hahahaha

I was on day 3 when we were talking about it before. And started it that night... So tonight took day five. Smile We'll see... At this point I'm mostly curious lol And since I don't O normally, can't really hurt!

Hi to you other ladies Smile

We are on our 7th month ttc now ugh! Its never taken us this long ttc before and I was just pg back in April when we had our loss. It shouldn't be this hard I wahhhh I'm feeling sorry for myself today. It's the clomid lol it doesn't do my mood any favors and that's an understatement. So anyway last month was my first clomid cycle and I responded well but it was a bust. I was Oing on my own they think but the clomid ramped things up quite a bit. So right now I'm taking clomid (cd3-7), EPO (to help w/ cm), iron (my level was low), b6&b12, prentals, and I will start guafinison on cd8 to help w/ cm too. We are also using preseed and I'm temping and using OPKs. I'm going to call tomorrow to see about adding in Estrogen supps they ate supposed to help combat lining issues and cm issues that can be caused by clomid. My period was light this month after taking clomid and I've not had ewcm this entire time I've ttc. I have in the past when ttc. That seems like a lot of stuff to do and honest it is! If my dh knew how much I do daily to try to get pg he'd have a new appreciation for it!

I know what you mean. I was young and skinny and hormonal when i had my two. I was pregnant on the first cycle both times. Now it's been three freaking years ttc this time and nothing!! Ack. Finally made my dr appt to check things out. Went two weeks ago and go back next week!

Does the guafinison actually help anything, or is that an old wives tale?

Cough/mucus medicine. It's in robitussin, mucinex and some other cough syrups. I can't quite follow how it would help... but it's talked about alot.

Oooh okay! Thanks Susan!

How are you feeling? Today is CD5 and day 3 of Soy.. So far so good, no side effects really. Normally, my temps are all over the place, but they seem pretty consistant the last few days.

I am totally an emotional icky mess (yesterday and today) lol I have been crying for nothingness, and then the next second considering chewing someone's head off. I cried at my mom because i haven't seen her, then yelled at my dh for asking what was wrong. Then i cried because i saw a commericial with cute baby feet, then i yelled at the dog for barking near me. Today I cried because someone was short with me, then I was way nastier back.
Either its from screwing with my hormones. Or I'm just a basket case this week.

lol it would be nice to get a bigger sample group... I was going to write you a pm yesterday and never got around to it.

I'm all good. Went to the dr yesterday, and that was frustrating. Now she says she doesn't think my tests say pcos. the last dr said i was a textbook case of pcos. So now what?? Ugh. She is getting me an appt with an RE. I'm happy we're moving forward, but upset that it's 'serious' enough to need to go to a specialist. And if it was pcos, there are so many options i've heard of...but not knowing why the heck i don't have a regular cycle or ovulate is frustrating...

How are you doing?

Oh wow! I totally feel your pain. I swear we are in the same situation. I thought I may have had PCOS, I think I still do, maybe a mild case but the doc didn't say I had it, don't know if he even tested for it. My ultrasounds and blood came back normal. So like you, I too am frustrated as to why my cycles are irregular and I don't O.

I think if the soy doesn't work for you this cycle, the RE would be able to give you more insight as to what's happening. I told my OB I did not want to see a specialist and that I was counting on him to get me preggo.. So trust me when I say, I completely feel your pain.

What cycle day are you on, I keep looking for a chart to stalk you so I can keep up.. lol

AFM: My temps are staying low and consistent, which i'm happy about because then I can see a clear temp shift IF it happens, all my opks are negative right now so i'm just trying to be patient. My last cycle temps were so erratic, so hopefully the soy is straightening me out.

Maybe I'm not looking at the right place, but I was on fertility friend and couldn't find an 'open ended' chart that doesn't limit your cycle to a certain number of days. Mine are never (well almost never) limited to 30 or 40 days... they can go for months. My temps almost never really change. Every day they are within a couple marks of each other. (IE This week has been: Mond 97.13, Tues 97.14, Wed 97.12) So that's not helpful.

She tested my LH, FSH, Testosterone and a few other things i can't remember. She said the testosterone was a couple points high, but nothing close to abnormal. And the others came back beautiful.

I hope this works for you!!! Good luck Smile

To properly test for PCOS bloodwork needs to be done on day 3 or day 21 (or both). Most of the time my bloodwork has been day 3. There are over 80 symptoms that indicate PCOS (it is a syndrome, used to be called a disorder). I have the "classic" symptoms - obesity, dark facial hair, irregular periods, insulin resistance excess testosterone but there are a ton more that I don't have. symptoms of pcos

Susan - I have no idea how to help with FF.. I just plug in and go.. Maybe you're just going to O late?? I've heard of Soy pushing ppl's O date back, so maybe that's what's happening.

Margaret - Thank you! The only symptoms I have from those listed are the irregular cycles, and i'm a little on the thicker side.. I just contribute that to me being athletic younger and now not so much lol.. hence my weight gain. They checked my blood on several occasions and said they were all normal..

My last blood draw was CD 10 last cycle:

FSH: 4.7
LH: 9.1
TSH: 2.95
T4: 1.19
HCG: Testosterone: 49 (she said this was borderline but nothing to be concerned about)

CD 10 is not reliable for the testosterone. It needs to be done CD3 or 21 AND between 8-10 am to get the best results.

I have had 80 day cycles on FF - that was after my D&C 20 months ago. FF goes until you get AF.

I tired to post links to the old charts but it just posts my latest chart... but I have had 2 cycles that went 80+ days.

I have to say sorry if I am sounding rude about PCOS, it is just that I am now 43 and have had it since I was 16. I have had the tests so many times I can read the results and figure what they mean and when you need to do the testing etc. I am not a doctor but in some ways I know more then many doctors having to have lived with it for so long. My family doctor asks me questions about PCOS!
