It must be morning somewhere!

uuugh!! my body must think it's in some other hemisphere, because I get "morning sickness" every night!
The good news is that I'm feeling mostly ok, most mornings - but as soon at 4pm hits... things start going down hill. And nothing helps! Doesn't matter what I eat or drink, if I get a nap (yes! I sometimes do collapse at around 3:30 and my amazing son keeps an eye on the kids till DH gets home!), it doesn't matter! I'm still sick.

I had to cancel my evening clients, which means I'm going to have to add an extra morning to my schedule to cover my costs at the health center... which means paying for more babysitting... which is making me even more nauseous just to think about!

Last week I actually threw up outside my house getting out of the car. I was picking up DS1 from Karate and as I pulled up, I knew I wasn't going to make it to the house. These two ladies passing by helped bring the baby into the house... it was so embarrassing!

I don't remember any of the others being this difficult and I'm just praying that the second trimester will be better.

I hope it goes away soon! I am 14 weeks tomorrow, and a few days ago realized that the reason all food looked so good was that the nausea was all gone. At the end, mine moved to evenings, maybe for the last 2 weeks. I hope yours is on its way out as well!!

Ahhh... right there in the boat with you. Mine is pretty much all day nauseousness, although it does seem to get worse in the evenings, I think. I've thrown up about 5 times this pregnancy so far, and nearly thrown up a few other times. I'll be very happy when this stage passes! Just a few more weeks!

Thanks everyone! Of course, this morning I woke up feeling just as gross as the night before... just gonna try to muddle through and hope it goes away soon.

You can ask your doc about phenergan or Zofran. Phenergan is great for the night time because it makes you sleepy, so not only is it helping your tummy, but helps you sleep as well. Zofran is more powerful, however. But it doesn't make you sleepy. It WILL however, make you constipated and/or give you headaches. I've been on BOTH meds since about 6 weeks...and still take them. *sigh*

Thanks Jessica, are you experiencing severe nausea and vomiting? Like Hyperemesis Gravidarium? Or just general "morning sickness"? because those are serious drugs to be putting in your body and your baby if it's not absolutely necessary to keep you from being malnourished, or from functioning.
I'm always about weighing the risks vs the benefits. In my case, I'll deal with the nausea at this point rather than take anything more serious than ginger-mint tea! But sometimes you do need that, so I was just curious why your doc has you on those? And for so long!
