OK, let's get this board started....

DH and I are working on #3. Since we're traveling so much this next month, August will be the first (next) chance.

Hi there! We're working on #3 as well, and since poor DH had to go and come down with the flu during fertile times this month, I'm checking out August even before AF gets here. Good luck to us both!

Are you hoping for a girl after 2 boys, or does 3 boys sound simpler? My sister has 3 girls and is pregnant with #4 and she says that the thought of it being a boy kind of freaks her out, since she knows more what to expect with girls. We have a boy and a girl, so at this point I am open to anything, although I'm kind of leaning towards hoping for a girl. We'll probably only have 3, and I love my sisters so much that it seems weird to think of Nora growing up without one! My brothers were both a lot older though, so maybe with my 2 so close in age they'll call each other and be close friends just like I am with my sisters. Who knows! We try so hard to plan things out, but you really can never predict the personalities of your kids!

I have mixed feelings. I always thought I wanted girls, and now I'm so in love with my boys that it's hard to imagine a girl. I'd like to think I'll be happy either way, though I might be a little disappointed if no girl. I guess time will tell.

Thanks, Michelle!

Hi Ladies! I thought I'd just introduce myself. My name is Carolyn. DH and I are going to start ttc #2. I'm having my IUD out on Oct. 25 so if I get preggo right after, that would put me at the beginning of August. Smile But I haven't had a PPAF and I'm still BF my DD so who knows what will happen. I'll probably hang around here for a while though. :goodluck:

Welcome, Carolyn! PPAF took forever for me, too. It was 21 months after each of my boys. Hope she comes back so you can send her packing again fast Smile

Hey everyone!

DH and I are TTC #1. We just experienced a m/c, and once AF shows, this will be our first cycle trying again. I *think* that tomorrow will be CD1, and if I O when I usually do, it'd put our EDD at the end of July. We're pretty anxious right now, and really hope that this is our month!

Looking forward to getting to know all of you, and hope that we all get to stay here Smile

Hi Jessica! I'm so sorry for your loss. ((BIGHUGS)) I hope your body gets back on track soon. I'm waiting (or will be waiting) for my body to get back on track after having my IUD out next week. I'm not quite sure what my body will do but if we get preggo after, early August will be our first chance at a due date. So we'll see. Wishing you lots and lots of BFP vibes! Smile

Hi Jessica, Welcome! Sorry for your loss - not an easy thing, that's for sure. Best of luck this time around!

I just o'd yesterday or maybe today (CD 23-24) and DH is coming home tonight from his business trip, so this one looks like a write off. Because of my long cycles, I think my next possible due date is mid-August. I so want to stay on this board!

Thanks ladies!

Carolyn - My best friend had her IUD taken out and was told that it'd take her 4-6 weeks before she'd see AF, and she said AF showed within the first week. I hope your body figures it out that quick too!

Veronica - Do you know if you O'd or not? Do you chart?

I'm still waiting, but I'm starting to spot. It's pretty normal for me to spot 4-6 days leading up to AF, which is pretty annoying. I feel like I've been all over the place this month, and I keep getting flat temps on my chart. As long as AF shows in the next 2-3 weeks, I can stick around the August board, if not, then I'll be on to September!

Jessica, it seemed like I o'd from my Sat-Mon temps, but then they've been low all week, so I don't know. Hopefully not yet, since now DH is home and we've been able to BD a couple times. If we're lucky it will be a July EDD...wait, wait, wait, as always!

How's everyone doing?

My chart has me SO confused. My post m/c temps were so high that FF isn't really 'analyzing' my chart now. I *think* it looks like I might have O'ed on CD39, anyone care to share some advice? I haven't had AF yet since the m/c, and was temping mostly just in hopes that I'd see my body get back on track. We've been BDing with some regularity, no protection (Oops!), and happened to BD on CD39.

Who knows what will happen now. I'm still going for weekly blood work to watch my hcg fall, and it was at 25 last friday. I'll go again tomorrow, and Tuesday before I see the OB on Wednesday.

I wish AF would show already, I'm tired of waiting! It it takes much longer, I might be out of luck for August and on to September!

Jessica- I'm not the best at reading charts (I only charted once and that was the month I got pregnant with my DD). Just looking at your chart, was there anything different about day 39? I ask because you had a nice dip on day 35 as well and if something was different about day 39 (that would explain why it is lower) all your other temps are above day 35??? Just a thought. I'm not the best at reading these. I hope you get some answers soon!

AFM- I had my Mirena IUD removed today! Whoot whoot! It wasn't as bad as I was thinking which was nice. It hurt like heck going in and I was so nervous about it hurting being removed. Now I'm just waiting to see when AF shows up. I haven't had a PPAF since my DD and having the IUD placed so I'm not quite sure where I am in my cycle. I'm sure a fun surprise HELLO!!!! from the witch is in store for me soon.

Well AF just arrived for me today, stupid witch! We have been ttc for 6 mos now and it's been 7 mos since we lost our son, Noah, at 14 weeks pregnant. It's been a rough road! We started clomid this past cycle and I responded well to it but didn't get pg. I'm a bit worried about my CM I never really get EWCM just watery cm and clomid will do me no favors there . I'm already trying EPO to help and I'm going to add guafinison (sp?) and try to really up my water intake. I should O around Nov. 10th and if I get pg due around Aug. 4th.

Hi Tiffany! Sorry the witch found you. boo! I hope this cycle is it for you! As for CM, have you tried preseed? I had luck with that when I got pregnant with my DD and I've heard others have had luck with it to.

Carolyn - That's great that it didn't hurt to have the IUD removed! My best friend had hers removed, said the same thing, very painful to have put in, but the removal was a piece of cake. She said she got AF within the first couple days, but I heard that there can also be a bit of a wait.

Tiffany - Sorry that AF showed! Definitely give preseed a try. We got pregnant on our first cycle using it, I don't really get EWCM either.

Hi all. We've been not preventing for three years, and trying hard on and off for that long. Have tried charting and temping, nothing has worked so far. Now we are finally on to dr appts and tests and medical assistance, etc... So, finally, i'm feeling like maybe i should start lurking a bit more for a place to hopefully land to stay! Smile

Yeah we actually gave preseed a try this past cycle. I am hoping it does us some good this cycle since it didn't last. Dh was not a fan lol we never use lube at all do it takes getting used too I guess.

Tiffany- did you try the internal (not sure how to say it) stuff or the regular lube? I loved the internal stuff but hated the regular lube. It got sticky really fast and DH didn't like it either. But the one that you insert (sorry if this is TMI) was great!

See, I bought both, and we used both. I didn't really see much of a difference between the two! We did learn the hard way though that very little goes a long way!! In addition to preseed, I used a cup. I know that some people buy conception-specific cups, but I just used my divacup that I always use for AF. I hate laying down after BDing, I need to get up and move around or I'll just fall asleep.

Yes, I too learned the hard way with the preseed. I definitely used too much the first time.

I have the divacup as well! It was too messy when I tried to use it for AF.. I haven't used it in years, I should give it another try.

Dooooo it! It was the best decision I ever made. Having to use pads recently really grossed me out. I think the trick is to figure out how often you really need to empty it. I usually just empty it in the shower in the AM, and when I empty it in the PM, there's hardly anything there. It's definitely a learning process, figuring out the best method for you.

I started using it after BDing last cycle, and it worked well!

I have wondered about that! It doesn't leak at all?? That's what i was thinking when i was looking at them. And what if i trip and it spills or turns sideways or something. lol I sound like a 12 year old with first period questions....

We used the internal stuff but maybe we used too much lol?? Like I said we never use the stuff so I Judy followed the instructions and it said most women use the 3g but that seemed like a lot. (TMI) I just wanted to make sure it was nice and wet in there for the spermies! And the diva cup is a good idea I hate having to lay still for 20 mins afterwards.

3g is a lot. I used right about 2g.

LOL! No way. It won't spill out while it's inside. The only time I ever had a 'spill' was when I waited too long before emptying it, and you need to squeeze it a bit to get it out. When I squeezed, it pushed some out of the cup. That was a one time deal, and I've used it for every AF for about the last three years or so. Maybe more? I've never had a leak either, I'll wear a liner in my heavy days just in case, but looking back, it's been a waste to even bother with that.

AF finally showed! Yahoo

I have been so nervous waiting for it. So grateful that I started charting again, because since FF showed that I O'd I anticipated that AF would show yesterday, and look at that.. right on time! We are officially TTC an August baby. Fingers crossed that everything works out time-wise this month. DH is going to Vegas for 2 days late this month, the 21st-22nd I think? That's right around when I should O Sad I hope that it doesn't affect our chances.

DH gave me a high five when I told him that I got AF, we both agreed that this is probably the only time we'll ever be excited for this!!

How is everyone else doing?

I'm here, about cd5. I should try temping this month but forget every morning and it hasn't been overly accurate because of lack of sleep which is likely to get worse as I work on keeping DS in his own bed.

Jessica, I am glad AF showed for you!! I agree it will probably be the only time that you will be excited to see it!! The cycle that DH and I decided to start TTC my cycle went 10 days longer then normal so I completely understand the excitement. I was so excited to see AF show as well so we could start trying!!

Good luck to you!

Marianne - Hopefully the B6 works for you! I tried it for a couple of cycles, but didn't notice a change. How short is your LP?

Good luck this cycle Pam, hope everything works for you!

We're probably going to use preseed again this cycle too. I really need to start drinking more water, I'm sure that's a huge factor in my non-existent EWCM. It's one of those things that's always on my mind, but I really just hate drinking water, period. Drinking anything, really. I don't like feeling full of liquid. Going to give it a really good shot this month though, getting as close as I can to 8 glasses a day.
