Default How I keep our board active....

Any ideas? We are so small already, I don't want it to fizzle out any more.

Should we do a random QOTD (question of the day)?

Oh autocorrect. I really need to be better at proof reading before posting! Yikes! I meant how TO keep our board active. :/

I feel like this site is slowly dying, as you said. When I had my son, the board I was on was super active, and I still chat with those mom's on facebook. I'm surprised at how few mamas are on this August board. I check in every day, but I guess I'm not that active on there. I also chat on other sites, and they are much more active than this one....

I think Facebook killed pregnancy.org. I am also sad to see how little activity the whole site gets, especially the birth boards. The older boards are being kept afloat by long-standing members, but the new boards have fewer and fewer participants.

Yes, this site was very active when I was pregnant with my daughter 7 years ago. It has fizzled out. I'm not even posting on FB about my pregnancy yet so I need this board active to talk about it.
We could do a question or two of the day.

    Hiya,

I was recently excited to join the site but it does feel really quiet.

Can anyone think of ideas to boost traffic as it seems lots of the posts get lots of views.

I don't want to use facebook for pregnancy stuff.

I actually talk a lot on cafemom. I love that site. Lots more activity over there. I'm on this site for nostalgic reasons. I was on this one with my son, and I feel like I'd like my "space" again like I did last time. Maybe the board will heat up as people get further along. I know some people are nervous to post just because they don't want to jinx themselves in the first trimester. But it's nice to have people to talk to about all the worries!

I agree with everyone. I know I could join another site and find an active birth board, but I feel like this is my home. I've had three pregnancies resulting in babies here, and two miscarriages, and lots of to struggles. I am seeing lots of views on things, we just need to get people posting, and ourselves as well. I'll start with a question of the day, and anyone can post one on any day. Hope to get to know you ladies better!
