Hubby has just been diagnosed and Robbie is being tested. It drives me insane when people make the correlations they do to autism and whatever...murder, vaccinations, etc. Trying to learn all I can on how to deal with these two aspies in my life :/

I don't know how my hubby lives with the two aspies in his life either! lol I have to say though, just having a name and diagnosis was truly a relief. Now there's so much information and everything i see, i keep going 'Aha! that's so true!'. Good luck with it hun.

When I was home for my mom's funeral my BIL was asking why Sean kept posting all this aspie stuff on FB and when I told of the new diagnosis my BIL said "I could have diagnosed that"! LOL Sean is so text book. Knowing that now (nothing like being diagnosed at 37) may keep our marriage intact... most of our arguments are about lack of communication... Robbie is the exact opposite with communication - he talks non-stop and never met a stranger BUT he has no social skills (as much as we try to teach him).

I'm 29 and probably an aspie. My son has moderate Autism. I have no social skills either. However I can pretend sometimes! Symptoms that I struggle with is sensitivity to light and sound. I do not like to be in big groups or people I do not know. i get major anxiety in social situations. I just do not know what to say to people. haha My son isbcoming verbal but not able to have conversation. He is so smart though . I love my kids. Autism is not a problem with us
