    Default Potty Training and SPD

Not sure if this question belongs here, but my youngest son is 2 years 9 months. He has SPD, but not autism. Through diet, OT, and Speech therapy he has almost caught up with his age and there are fewer outburst. Now for going potty. He knows when he is wet. He wants to potty, but we do get the SPD outburst when it comes to actually sitting on the potty (screaming with even the physically thrashing at times). It is really odd that he doesn't want to remove his diaper, but clothing is usually one of those stressors that he insists on having off. Any advice on doing the whole potty thing?
Oh, he will stand in front of the potty and take his wee wee out and say I peed (but nothing comes out). He has also shown a lot of interest in the potty. Anytime anyone goes, he wants to go.
Any ideas as to when and how to potty train him?

Osh has SPD also. For him we started at 3. I had to strip him of everything and let him run around naked. Unfortunatly for us, I had to wait until he was beginning to pee to get him to finish.on the potty. Luckly.it to that one time for him to catch on. He had a couple accidents but got it for the most part.

Did he have problems with the potty or just clothes? Liam screams when it comes to sitting on the potty. Could that be a touch thing?

My child is undiagnosed but has confirmed developmental delays. He's 3 years and 5 months old (as of the 9th of June). He does not like being even the tiniest bit unclothed. If he doesn't have a diaper, a shirt, shorts (or pants), and socks on, he'll insist I fix it. We cannot leave the house without a sweater or coat (even in 80 degree weather). He's very particular that way. When I do take all his clothes and diaper off (leaving socks and sometimes shirt on) he will scream and cry for no less than 20 minutes. THEN he will plant his tookus on the potty and won't leave it... all.day.long.

Since he lacks excitement over "perfect timing" eliminations (even when I play it up), I don't know what to do.

I'm sorry I'm no help. But you are not alone?.... with any luck, our kids will be in undies by college.
