Katie's second right tooth popped through and she has been crabby today. Fred said she didn't sleep well last night while I was at work and she is paying for it today. She took a 4 hour nap this afternoon and was still crabby. I feel bad for her when she is like that. She just can't express to us how she feels so she whines.
She is getting more independent. She doesn't really want us to feed her with a spoon anymore. She wants to eat finger foods. I have cut down nursing her to twice a day, morning and before bed. I think we are going to start giving her some whole milk this week. I plan to mix it in her breastmilk from the freezer to start. I don't think she will have a problem with it because she eats yogurt and cheese with no problem.
She is getting better with cruising along the furniture. She doesn't seem interested in walking yet though. Soon enough it will happen. She is saying "Charlie" now. She is dancing more to music too. Its the funniest thing in the world. We just crack up laughing at her all the time. She babbles all the time. She flips through her board books like she is reading them, its very cute.

I gave Katie some whole milk mixed in her breastmilk in her sippy cup today. She did fine with. I didn't figure it would be a problem. She also figured out how to climb on the futon, what a monkey.

So I have been doing some sign language with Katie for months now. Mostly just "milk", "more", "food" and "drink". So we were shopping this morning and I was giving her graham crackers and she signed more to me. I was so excited. Then she did it again. Yay.

What a rough week we have had. Katie has been waking up very early and not napping very well. I don't know what the problem is. Maybe her teeth are bothering here. I hope this waking up early is just a phase, I am tired.

Katie has been holding things beside her ear and saying "yea yea" like she is talking on the phone. Its so cute.

Katie has been saying baby. She has also been doing something kind of funny when she eats. When she is just about done she will put a piece of food on the top of her sippy cup. I don't know why she does it but its funny. She is cruising better and better although she still prefers to crawl.

So I am stopping nursing Katie in the mornings. Today was day 2 of no nursing in the morning and it has not bothered her at all. I am still nursing her before bed though. I don't think either of us is ready to give that up.

Katie has had a fever since Friday morning. Poor thing I feel so bad for her. I have been giving her Tylenol and Motrin. Last night her little chin was shivering so bad. She was so clingy. She didn't sleep too well either. I think she is finally feeling a little better now. It is hard not knowing what is wrong with her. I don't know if it is just a virus or her teeth coming through. Her fever got to 102.1 last night.
She also learned to say Mimi this week.

So Katie is feeling better. She has been standing on her own for about a second. I think she will be walking really soon. She has been walking with this toy back and forth across the room. She is so funny when she climbs onto and off of the couch all by herself. She looks so proud. She is just growing and developing so fast.

Katie has been stacking blocks. She is just getting so big. Yesterday when I went to get her out of her crib after her nap I swear she looked taller to me. Her head is coming up higher on the crib railing when she is standing up. She is standing up by herself for a little longer now. She walks when we are holding her hands but then she goes right to her knees when we let go. I think she could walk if she wants to but she is happy crawling. She also babbles all the time. I mean she is really telling you something when she is talking. Its so cute.
