You came into my life on February 10, 2003 at 11:08PM. Even though I don't remember my first glimpse of you, (I had a lot of medication in my body when you were born) I do know that you were the most beautiful baby I have ever seen. You were perfect in every aspect. When I was brought back into my hospital room, you were already there with Daddy, Grandma B, Mom-mom and Pop-pop T. and Aunt Allison were all there to greet you. When they got me all situated, I was shaking really bad due to the medication. The nurse asked me if I was ready to hold you and I told her that I wanted to wait until I stopped shaking, I didn't want anything to hurt you. She told me that as soon as I held you I would stop shaking. So I took you from her arms and as soon as I had you the shaking stopped. It was a moment in time that will be cherished in my heart forever.
Well Honey Bunny, you are 21 weeks old today. Time has gone by so fast. I can't believe it sometimes. I like to sit and look at you and just admire the fact that you already have your own little personality. (Just hope you don't get daddy's temper. Don't tell him I said that either)
You are doing so well at rolling over. May 25th you rolled over from your tummy to your back. You hate tummy time and you figured out how to escape it. You little bugger.... On June 1st you went from your back to tummy. You do it all the time now, however, you get upset when you are on your tummy and you don't roll yourself back over. What happened? Did you forget how? Daddy and I show you all the time. You will grasp it one of these days I am sure.
I have given peaches and applesauce to you to eat. You weren't crazy about the peaches but you loved the applesauce. You ate HALF the jar. But the next day your tummy wasn't feeling right. So no more foold until 6 months or so. You have also tried rice cereal. You didn't like that either. Mom-Mom T. has given you some mashed taters and you liked them too! You kept licking your lips for more. It was the cutest thing.
You drank some water out of my cup last night. It seemed like you knew just what to do with it. You weren't used to it though and more came out of your mouth than in your mouth. But thats OK. I am not rushing Father Time.
You are with Miss Deena right now while I am at work. We are having a few problems over to Miss D's but we are going to try to work them out so things will smooth over. I hope that you are happy over there. I don't want to have to put you in a big daycare. You will get sick all the time and some of the kids are mean. I don't want anything bad to happen to you. Miss Deena is the best place that you can be. She has a ton of things for you to do but you just don't seem happy when I leave.
You are sleeping about 10 hours a night now. We put you to bed at 9pm and you don't wake up till 7am. What a good girl. Everynow and then you get up at 3 or 4am, I can deal with that. You eat and go right back to bed. I couldn't of asked for a better baby.
You saw your Aunt Ruth and Uncle Lemuel last night for the 1st. You also saw your cousins Pat, Karen and their son William who is now 7. He thought you where the sweetest thing. Aunt Ruth wanted him to give you his "Incredible Hulk" beach ball cause you liked it so much. He didn't want to part with it though. Honey said she would buy you one next time she is out and about. Karen rocked you to sleep. You slept on her for about 1/2 hour. You also drenched her arm in drool. That's ok, she didn't mind. She loves you to death also.
You were better yesterday for Miss Deena. She said you had a couple of fussy spells but as soon as she put you on the bed you looked at the ceiling fan and stopped. You have a thing for fans. They fasinate you for some reason. It is so cute.
Daddy is home now but you didn't get to see him last night cause you were in bed. You will get to see him tonight though. He missed you so much. You love it when daddy is home. He makes you laugh.
We went visiting AGAIN last night. We saw Uncle Greg and then we went to see Aunt Chris. Uncle Mark wasn't home but he has already seen you whereas Aunt Chris hasn't. She is ready for a baby. Maybe while she is getting her business ready she will get pregnant. Uncle Mark already has daughter Kelly who is 21. A year younger than me. They are not sure how she will take it since she has always been the baby. Aunt Chris is Uncle Mark's 2nd wife.
Grandma B. just called and asked how you were doing. She really misses you. Now that we don't live so close to each other it is hard to get together, especially since Grandma works all kinds of crazy hours. She called to tell me that she was on her way home from Williamsburg. She had a nice little vacation. You are her pride and joy.
You are EVERYONE'S pride and joy. Never forget that baby. You have so many people that love you.
You are with Mom-Mom T. & Aunt Allison today. They wanted to keep you and spend some time with you since they haven't seen you in awhile. I think they are taking you to Mom-Mom Walls today too! She hasn't seen you since Mother's Day. Boy is she going to be surprised.
I know this is short but Miss Betty is out of the office today so it is just me and Miss Ruby. I'll write more later!
I just called Mom-Mom T and she said you were being a very good girl. At the moment she said you were sitting in your walker talking up a storm. She also said that you fell asleep in your swing for awhile but kept waking up b/c you kept falling over. Aunt Allison gave you a bottle at 10:45 and then put you in the walker.
Are you not happy at Miss Deenas? If not, please let me know somehow, I don't want you to be unhappy! We need to work on our communication skills somehow. I KNOW! I KNOW! I need to wait until you can talk. LOL!
You are at Miss Deena's again today. Mom-Mom T. said you were a perfect angel yesterday. No fussy spells or anything. I am starting to think that maybe you don't like that fact that all Miss D's attention isn't directed to you. She has a few other children that she cares for. Maybe you don't like that? I am sure you will be fine in a few weeks though.
I gave you some cereal last night with nanners in it. You really like that although you still think that the spoon is a bottle. In the end, I think that I had more on me than you did in your mouth. I was very sticky. Miss D is going to try to give you peas today. I can't wait to hear how that goes.
Well Honey, it has been a few days since I have posted on here. I am extremely busy at work as you hear me talk about all the time.
We had a very nice weekend. Saturday we went shopping with Mom-Mom T and had a wonderful day and Sunday we went back over to Pop-Pop B. for another cookout. I was feeding you squash and you decided to start spitting. Daddy taught you that. Mommy is not too happy with that. You are doing it all the time now. Especially when you first wake up. You used to talk for about 1/2 hour before wanting to get up and now all you do it spit. It is kinda funny.
Grandma B. came over last night to see you. She stayed till it was your bedtime. You were soooo tired.
You are my Sunshine
My only Sunshine,
You make me happy when skies are gray
You'll never know Dear
How much I love you,
Please don't take my sunshine away!
Just a quick note.
I know I said that I was going to wait until you were 6 months to start solids again but I gave it a try the other day and the squash went pretty well. I put sweet potatoes in your bag today. Not sure if you will like them or not. I don't but daddy loves them. You should have a good day today you are the only kiddo that Miss D. has. You love the 1 on 1 attention. (I don't blame you though )
I made you a bowl of cereal last night with nanners in it. That seem to be the way you only like them. You gobbled up almost the whole bowl. You did very well and seem to be getting used to the spoon more and more.
You are still sleeping so well and hope you continue to. I put you to bed last night around 9 and I had to wake you up at 6:45 this morning. You would have slept all day.
Can't wait to pick up tonight. I have missed you so much today.
