Picture time! :D
Tummy time on Mommy's Boppy, but I don't want to lift my head up:
I know, I'll just EAT the Boppy instead!
Hanging out happily on his blanket:
Getting bigger and more handsome everyday!
He gets cuter everytime I see him!!!
He really is a beautiful baby Sandy!! What a little dote :)
Aww, thanks you guys! :D We think he's pretty special ourselves. ;)
A video of my boy! :D It's kind of dark because I had to take it with our digital camera rather than our video camera (the video camera doesn't have the right cable, so I can't upload stuff to the computer). You can see him grinning at me in this one, and he also "talks" a bit. :D This was taken a week or two ago, and it's amazing to me how much *more* he talks and interacts with me now! Even in just two short weeks he's changed so much!
So call me crazy, but I saw the movie "Knocked Up" and it made me want to get pregnant again soooo bad!! I know, I know, Nick isn't even 2 months old yet! Don't worry, I told Tim about it and he laughed and said, "Babe, it's wayyyyy too soon for that." I really don't want my biological kids spaced so close together because I can only imagine doing the newborn/post partum thing with a little one who's barely walking. But I can still dream, can't I? ;) I would like to add another biological one to the family when Nick is about 2.5-3 years old. I would love to start trying when he's 18 months old. But of course, we also want to adopt so I am not sure how all that's going to work out. I just know that I loved being pregnant and I can't wait to do it again! Initially I thought Nick would be our only biological child, but now I know that that's just not going to happen. I would love to try for a little girl, just so I can experience being pregnant with both genders. :D But I also want Nick to have a baby brother or two... so you see, I think several more pregnancies might be in my future! ;) Now I just have to get Tim on board without him having a heart attack... The great thing is that we both agree that my next birth experience will be a home water birth. It's going to be awesome! Having given birth in a hospital, I know I don't want to do that again. And if we're in the area, we're definitely going to be using my doula again. She was invaluable to us! Anyway, I just never pictured myself as one of those motherly people who love getting pregnant and having babies. I didn't think I had it in me, honestly! It always looked so tiring and challenging. I thought I'd have a newborn, hate the experience, and never want to do it again. Not so! I think a lot of it has to do with the amount of support I get from Tim. If I was doing this all by myself for the most part, I know I wouldn't and couldn't handle another. So there you have it - the inner workings of my crazy mind!
In other news, Tim comes home TOMORROW. :D :D :D :D I cannot believe the day is almost finally here!!!! It seems like forever since I've hugged him and kissed him and just sat and TALKED to him. Aaaah, I cannot wait!! :D
It really is amazing & humbling how pregnancy & motherhood change you :) I always want to have another right after having a baby, there's just something so magical about it! When dh n' I first started out we wanted one, MAYBE two and that maybe was big & here we are 10yrs later pg with #5 LOL
How exciting that Tim is coming home!
We are major Ergo converts here. We didn't use ours for the longest time because the Ergo is meant for bigger babies who can hold their heads up. They sell an infant insert for newborns, but I said no way are we going to spend another $25 on that when we already spent about $100 on the Ergo itself. Well, I ended up spending the $25 because I was going crazy not having my hands free while Tim was gone. It was totally, totally worth it!! I was a little intimidated by the video and the illustrations, and figured I'd try it on once, end up in a big, jumbled mess (I've never been good at following instructions in manuals) and give it up forever. BUT I actually managed to get it on, and... it's EASY!! Even for me, which is really saying a lot. It feels amazing on my back and my shoulders, and Nick feels almost weightless in it. I can slip it and him on in about 2 minutes, and then we're ready to go. And he invariably falls asleep in it! :D It's soooo cute! I had to take pictures, of course. :D Here's the two of us on our Ergo adventure (and yes, those spots you see are on my mirror  ):
Here's a picture I took of him while he was inside the Ergo, hehe:
Okay, weird. It wouldn't let me finish my post. Anyway, I wanted to say that we are leaving to go get Tim in about 3 hours!! :D I got all prettied up for him - blowdried my hair (first time since Nick was born!), painted my toes, and I'm even going to wear something that isn't cotton, and isn't two sizes too big! I'm going to take Nick inside the airport in the Ergo so we can greet Tim as soon as he comes out. He's expecting us to wait in the car for him - yeah, right!! :D He's going to be so surprised! :D Okay, gotta go feed my little monster!
Love it, you both look great! I hope you are with Tim NOW!!!
