Awwwe, the pics are so cute! He resembles you and Tim equally, how is that possible??
WooHoo on good weigth gain!! That's an awsome sign that BF is working well! Make sure to eat some yogurt every day to prevent getting thrush - it's not a BIG deal, but a PITA to get rid off.
How is his latching now?
Enjoy your little prince! Thanks for posting pics, I know it takes longer to post them, but.... it's great to see his face!

So, how did you come up with his name? If you don't mind me askin'.

I have a name question too! What does Ishaan mean? If you are O.K with explaining it....
-
Sandy he's beautiful!!! I am so happy for you! I have to remember that this morning sickness is worth it and it turns in to a beautiful baby just like Nicholas!

Oh, sweetie...its so much fun to read about the joys of your new life. Nick is absolutely precious, and you are glowing...I'm with Lis...you look amazing!

Thanks for all the comments, you guys! :D You're so sweet!
As for his name, we just liked the name Nicholas. We looked up the meaning, and it means "victorious", so we decided to keep that on our list. :) Ishaan is an Indian name that means "sun", and we liked that it would be easy for people to pronounce and that it had a nice meaning. Plus, Nicholas Ishaan seemed to flow well. So there you have it! :D

I am having such a hard time with breastfeeding. I absolutely, positively hate it! I just did not see this coming. I thought with his latch getting better, I'd like it more, but nope. :( I'm always frustrated and so is Nick. I'm just not able to enjoy him around feeding time like I do at other times. I'm going to pump, and if I don't get enough we're going to supplement with formula. I bawled my eyes out tonight when we gave him his first bottle (of breastmilk). But this is going to be so much healthier for us, I think. Tim is happy that he gets to feed him, and he totally supports me. I feel so guilty about this, but I know that formula is not a bad choice. I just cannot take the stress of breastfeeding anymore. Ughhhh, I wish I didn't feel so badly about switching him to expressed breastmilk and formula. :(

Oh hon...I know how you feel, same thing happened to us. I believe its better to use formula and have a happy mommy and baby! JMO

***HUGS***
It's a struggle. It is so hard! The pain is unbelievable and so un-fair! It was like that for me too. Each time.
Formula isn't evil or bad. If it makes you happier and makes Nicholas happy then so be it! And it's great that Tim likes to feed him too!
Hugs Sandy!!!

Aww, thanks you guys. That is so sweet. :) I really appreciate all of your support. It's funny though, that things took a turn in a much different direction than I was expecting, but that's for my next post... :D
