His/her name is New Baby. :D I am 7 weeks, 3 days pregnant right now and due on October 28th, 2008. Needless to say, we were totally, completely and utterly surprised!! But we're also thrilled, excited and so very happy!! :D I found out on February 24th. But that's a story for New Baby's pregnancy journal. Nick and his new baby sibling will be almost exactly 1 year apart! :D Oh my gosh, I am going to be soooo busy, and our home is going to be so warm, happy and full of love!! :D

Thank you, ladies! :D I am soooo excited and happy!!!!!!!!!!! I am a little nervous too, about how I'm going to handle PP recovery, sleep deprivation, a newborn and a ONE year old but I am sure I'll take it in stride. :D I am hearing a lot about how kids that close in age are so close and have a great bond most of the time, so I'm very excited to see that and for Nick to get to experience that! It's so weird, but right before I found out I was pregnant, I met two moms at different locations whose kids were 13 months apart. Each of them told me how great it is and how they wouldn't change anything. Isn't that funny? I get goosebumps every time I remember those conversations now! :D

We've decided we're not going to drive with me being pregnant, and with Nick being on a pretty good schedule, AND with all the random stuff we seem to have accumulated. So the new plan is that we're going to fly with Nick, and mail all the stuff to Tim's parents back home. That way we don't have to lug it on the flight. Oh, and the private pet driver we hired came and picked up the pets yesterday. They'll be driven by themselves in mini-van luxury all the way to Tim's parent's house! They should be there by Tuesday morning. I teared up and cried many times yesterday because I miss them so much! I honestly thought that having them gone would be a nice little break for us, but I hate how quiet and normal it is without them. I miss having them around so much! Can't wait to see them again.
Right now we're living with no furniture, hardly any personal supplies, and eating canned food or eating out everyday. It's crazy! We're also sleeping on the floor, which explains why I'm up so early. My arm and my neck are killing me! We're going to have to buy an air mattress today so I can sleep better. Pregnancy turns me into a big wuss, I swear.
Nicky-boy is doing great! :D He has learned to "pet" our dog Kaylee, which is just sooo cute! She loves him and is constantly by his side. They sometimes "stare" at each other, and then Nick starts to smile and make his happy, excited "eeeee" noises. :D :D It's soooo adorable! And the other day I was holding him on my lap and sitting on the floor, and one of our cats, Lacy, came up to him and started rubbing on him. Then she nudged him with her nose a few times and he smiled and started "petting" her too! He really loves animals, which he gets from Tim and me. We rented a Baby Einstein "Neighborhood Animals" DVD for him through Netflix and he loved seeing the dogs and cats on there! :D He wasn't so interested in the bunnies or the mice, though. We are absolutely loving this age he's at right now. His likes and dislikes and personality are all coming out so much! It's just truly amazing. He's such a little sweetheart; I find myself actually missing him and wanting to wake him up when he's sleeping! He really has given meaning to my life. :D
