Bad names

I have worked as a Nanny and in a few daycares...Holy cow do people name their children the most random crazy things.

My first nanny job I watched a little girl named Rain Bo. She was adorable, everyone called her Rainy. Her brother to be was Stormy.

In a daycare I worked at for a few months in the summer there was 2 sets of twins from the same family..Aparently they were huge fans of the rugrats because their boy/girl twins were Phillip and Lillian, nicknames Phil&Lil. Their set of boy twins were Thomas and Chuck, nicknames Tommy and Chucky... It was funny yet so weird

wow Rugrats huh? Strange. :)

I saw a little girl on Toddler and Tiaras the other day (Netflix) and her name was first name Sparkal last name Queenz. That was a little too much for me, one or other, maybe, but together, I just don't know.

I work for a hotel, and the names that guests have when they come in are hilarious. I've seen Princess, Egypt, and my favorite, Ura. A little old lady came in and on her license her legal name was Ura Black. I just can't even imagine.

Flamin'eck! Some of them are hideous, poor kids lol. For some reason though I think Rain Bo is cute! Would never name my kid that but ya know ha.

Ok this is by far the worst name I have ever heard and I just can imagine what it was like growing up as a girl with this name....Hedwig.

I have a Aunt Hettie ( for short) and her name is really Hedwig...lol I just gag everytime because it's just aweful....and all the other kids have normal names...Justina, Silvia, Bill, Henry, the normal names for back in the day lol

I guess good or bad names are in the name of the beholder, so to speak. Personally, I can think of nothing worse than purposely giving your child the same name that 5 other kids in their class will have, as a Sarah in the 80s it was almost like I had no real identity. Just my initials or a number (IE. Sarah T, or Sarah 3) and it was so confusing going to the Dr or anywhere and being in the waiting room when the person you were waiting for called your name and 8 other people stood up too!

I have a Raistlin. It's a made up name. Came from a series of books called Dragonlance. Raistlin was one of the main characters, a little bit evil, a little bit good... If you knew my Raistlin you'd know this name fits him perfectly! LOL I tried to give my kids unusual first names and normal middle names. A lot of my older family members go by their middle names, so I figured if my kids didn't like standing out, they could always blend in by using their middle names....

I also really love old/traditional names that have been almost lost now in our modern naming society. I actually like Hedwig (Hetty) - nice traditional German name that is now rarely used. It's like a little piece of history that's still alive!

My DD is Eala (pronounced Ella), it was a huge fight with ExHub as to what to name her, I like traditional names that are not so common and he liked 'interesting' names or old pagan gods/goddesses....

The all time worst name I've ever is....Vagina. Yes, Vagina. My friend's DH is a doctor and he encountered this name while checking on a newborn patient. He walked in, looked at the chart, did a double take and said "So how is little Vagina doing?" The mother looked at him and said with attitude, "It's VA-GEENA". Umm, then spell it Vageena, not Vagina. Poor, poor baby!

I would like to say my Aunt Hettie likes the name but well she doesn't...and especially when her sisters had "normal" names like Sylvia and Justine....I just could not do that to my kids lol
