    I LOVE the name Rocco.

That said, yes I see people giving their kids awful names all the time. Drives me nuts. Those poor children. Made up names, dorky unique spellings, words for things that aren't actually names but they 'turn them into' names...I'm also not a fan of last names for first names. I'm really judgey like that though. :P

I hear some strange names, but usually once I know the kid, it grows on me. But all names at some point were made up, I figure, so it doesn't bother me much. Add to that, that my oldest daughter has a made up name, and my son has a surname last name, oh well. I really dislike super common names, because I hate that every time I call to schedule an appt we have to clarify which Rachel Blank I am, because there are so many, and that I get at least a few collection calls every year for Brian Blank as well.... its annoying. So I would really rather hear of a Ryker vs a Tyler, just for example. I really didn't want my kids to be Jennifer B. or Brian A., etc. But then I named one of my twins Wyatt, having no idea how popular it was.. so he may be Wyatt Initial. Oh well.

I've met a child named Shania... now if you like Shania Twain I guess that's fine... but this poor child's last name rhymed with "Twain"... who would do that to a kid?? (obviously the parents liked the singer I guess).

Also... Champagne. She was the cutest little girl though.

I'm like Rachel, I never wanted my kids to be one of 2+ in their class. So I went with slightly different but not unusual names. And I'm sorry, Jordan... my son has a surname for a first name in honour of my grandmother... it TOTALLY suits him though!! Can you forgive me?? And if I'd had two boys I would've fought for "Morgan" for the next one, which is another family surname

How about all of the people that actually try to name their kids "Lucifer?" Check out this insanity...
