Give me some input!!!

I have a couple names picked out but if this one ends up being a girl I was thinking maybe to use "don" in the name. It's my dad's name....he passed away 5 years ago. I am not too creative and would love some input....... If this one is a boy, the MN will be Donald so that's an easy one.

TIA

hi laurene!

this is a toughie.. have you considered just using the name Dawn?

other than that, i looked up "girls names with "don"... this site came up that lets you look up names with certain letters, combinations, etc..
http://babynamesworld.parentsconnect.com/advanced-search.html

i liked:
donnica
sidonie
sedona

and my mom asked me why i didnt spell Hayden's name "HaydON" so it would match with PaxtON... so theres another option Wink

cant wait to hear what you choose!

Alright I'll give it a go...

Donella
Doniella/e (meant to sound like danielle)
Dona

Going on that site suggested-
I liked:
Giadona (call her Gia)

I think unless you keep it very traditional and go something like Donna, you're going to have to step outside the "normal" range and go a little unique. If going unique isn't quite your style perhaps try using Don in some way as the middle name and find something more traditional for the first name: i.e Elizabeth Giadona , KWIM?? Good luck!!

My grandfather was Donald. Smile He has one granddaughter named Raydon (Ray is from her other grandpa). But I think my cousin gets lots of Radon gas jokes. ;). My middle name is Dawn, my dad says it is after my grandpa, my mom says it is after someone else. But my mom and I pronounce Don and Dawn differently, whereas my dad's family say Don and Dawn sounding exactly the same. Anyhow... I'm rambling.

I wanted to name Tucker after my grandpa, but Don and Donald did not work for me, so I chose his middle name, Reed. Smile Man, am I am going off on tangents or what? Smile

I think Donica could work, maybe Donnelly? Or Donia?

Hahahahaha.....its ok Rachel....I understand. My dad's MN is Erwin....so that doesn't make it any easier. The idea of a middle name Donald is just fine w/me, I don't put alot into MN anyways just because it really isn't used much.

I like Sedona.....and Donielle....what do you think of Donalynn or Chrisdon? Ok, I'm stretching on that last one Lol

That reminds me! When we got our home loan the lady's name was Doni- pronounced Donnie.

I think Chrisdon will take a little for people to get, I had to say it twice before it clicked that you were going for "Kristen" like sounds right?!

I like Donalynn. It's like Anna Nicole's baby, Dannielynn, which I happened to like, although, I would have spelled it differently!

Good Luck, you've got a tough one on your hands! Smile
