what do you think? too odd/old fashioned/dated? ugly old lady name?
I know a little girl named Judy-Kaye, and I think it's a cute name!
Personally, I don't like nicknames as the actual name. I'd prefer Judith with Judy as the nickname.
not my taste
makes me think of Judge Judy....
I have an Aunt Judy, so I like it. I tend to prefer more old-fashioned names though.
My grandma's name was Judith and she spelled it Judi (rather than Judy). Not sure if I'd pick it for my daughter, but I think it's something that could grow on me
I'm not a huge fan. Sorry.
I actually love it. My nan's nickname was Jude/Judy
I actually love it. My nan's nickname was Jude/Judy xx
I really like Jude for a boy. because my oldest keeps saying this is a girl, I am trying to think, hmm does Judy work?
Not a big fan of Judy. I like Judith better, but I still don't love it.
What about the name Julie? Similar sound, but a little more modern.
Not a huge fan, also there are the current children's books, Judy Moody, not a great combo. Judith is okay though.
I can't do Judith, because everyone would say Judit (th is just a T). Julie is a no go to because I have 2 sil's named Julie (real name Julia) and my niece and my nephews g/f (who is also our babysitter) are Julia, pronounced Yulia.
The other day I started thinking, what about Jane? Is that too plain?
I like Jane!
I like Jane. I had it on my name list as a middle name
I like Jane. I'm not a big fan of Judy though.
I think Jane is a fine name, but I can't say I really love it.
Not a fan of Judy. I like Jane!
I like Jane, it is the middle name I'll use if I have a daughter one day
Yeah, not my style... I like different names, but not "old fashioned" different names... I let my DH pick our daughter's middle name (named after his grandmother that passed away while I was pregnant with her) Jean and I hate it to this day!
