Heidi. Definitely.

Adelle is my MIL's name. Just can't do it Wink I like Heidi... if my brother had been a girl he would've been Heidi Smile Adelle also seems (to me anyway) more old lady-ish than little girl-ish).

uh-oh. I'm an Adelle fan.

Do you have a middle name or are you going to? Maybe that will help you make your decision. Also, what would the initials be with Adelle vs Heidi? Just trying to think of a couple other ways to help you make your decision.

I prefer Adelle, although I like the name Heidi. The reason I like Adelle better is because your son is Hunter and two H names is a little too matchy-matchy for me. Plus, I think Adelle is one of those classic, feminine names that is making a comeback.

I like Adele but if the spelling is Adelle I would choose Heidi.

I personally can't stand the name Heidi, but I'm biased because I knew an awfully wretched girl in school named Heidi that was nothing but a stone cold b*tch. That's just my opinion, though. I do like Adelle, though - it's not completely out in left field and it's totally not a "sparkleigh snowflayke" name, but it's interesting enough because not every woman on the planet has named her child that (or a variation of it).

I'm an Adelle fan too but I certainly do like Heidi. My DD's name is Amelia and my neice's name is Evelyn so I like those old-fashioned type names.

GL - either name is really pretty.

I prefer Adele. But my cousin has the middle name Adele, and I know growing up she HATED it, but maybe she likes it now. Smile

I vote for Heidi.

There is a singer named Adele who is very popular right now, and I think that is going to be an overly used baby name this year.

I like both names, but I would go with Adelle.

Adelle is a name that works for a girl or woman, while Heidi is a little girl's name to me.

Middle name would be Lise (my Mom's name) and the initials would be
AB
or
HB

Vicky,

Just wanted to say that I have always loved the name Annaliese, so just throwing out the suggestion of Anna Lise to you as a first/middle name combo.

It is nice Anna Lise. THe only problem is in French people tend to pronounce the A at the end more like a UH sound which I don`t like. That`s why I don`t won`t a name ending in A.
Olivia
Anna
Lydia
etc.....

Lol. I just figured if her name is Adele Lise or Adelise, its almost pronounced the same, but I get ya. Smile Adelisa is a real name, according to a few baby name sites, I'm too lazy to go find my baby name books, but it says it is French and German, meaning, Noble, or of the nobility. Smile

I like Adelle. A lot. I have a cousin named Hedi. She loved it as a kid due to the storybook relationship, but absolutely hates it now because she says it sounds too kiddish.
