This is already my kids name, so I don't care if you like or not
Just curious how you pronounce it? Quent-in Quen-tin Quint-in Quint-en Quent-on Quen-ton Quint on Quin ton, etc? One of those things like are Erin/Aaron Jenny/Ginny said the same, except this is the same name.

Actually I like the name Quentin...pronounced Quen-tin?

Well... while Erin and Aaron are said exactly the same to me (spelling just denotes gender), Jenny and Ginny are two totally different names and pronounced totally different... Jenny/Jennifer being a short e (like pen) and Ginny/Virginia being a short i (like pin)

That aside... when I see Quentin I would likely use the short e at the beginning and short i at the end and say Quen (rhymes with pen)-tin (rhymes with pin)

Curious now as to how do YOU pronounce it for your son?

I like the name Quentin. I would pronounce it the same way as Marla. out of the options you give the ones where it has an "O" in it are really strange to me. there is no "O" in the name so I'm not sure why it would be pronounced with one?

My oldest child who hasn't quite mastered all sounds, says what sounds exactly like when I say "Clinton" When I ask her if she said Clinton or Quentin, she can distinguish the difference. But when she says the two, there is no difference. I had never realized the two sound similar until I heard her say them, kwim?

I noticed when I actually say Quentin, I say it more like Quenten. But his nickname is Quin/Quinny? There is a noticeable difference when I say them too.

Most people here say Kventeen. that bugs me!

I don't think it would matter how you spell it, people will pronounce it however they feel like lol!

It wasn't until I really listened to others saying it that I noticed I say Quinten, rather than Quentin. I like the way both sound, but I feel like I should say Quentin, enunciate more.

What about Gwen/Gwyn/Guin? I have a friend Gwen, she says "Gwin".

I say Gwen...I've only known two (both from the NW US) and they also said Gwen.

I would say Quen-tin, but now I'm over thinking it so I'm not sure!! LOL.

Oh and Aaron is A-ren!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hahaha.
