Default We chose a our baby boy name!

So in our family we like to go with not so common names. I just like the thought of my kids having a name that no one else in their class will have... one that sounds really cool and that they'll love their whole lives! You can see my other children's names in my signature, and for baby #4 he will be Trystan Magnus! I'm so glad we finally came to a decision! It took about 4 baby books and countless websites... but this is the one!
    Krystal & Donovan - 12/2/06
    Reagan - 10/2/02
    Maximus - 3/10/05
    Liberty - 12/11/08
    Trystan- 11/22/11
    My angel in Heaven 1/7/13

I love it. I too like names that no one has. Congrats on finding that name. BTW Max and Liberty where on our list for this baby.

They're awesome names... and they definitely live up to them... especially Maximus!

Did you chose Trystan (jnstead of Tristan) because you are Krystal (like both with Y's?) or is it just a coincidence?
IDK about in North America, but the past few years Tristan has really been on the rise. 3 of my close friends have Tristan's. I<3 the name, because the boys are so cute, but just wanted to say if you want not so common, only kid in the class, it might gain popularity, kwim?

Yes... just the first and last letters of his name and my name are different... everything else is the same and I thought that was cute! I looked on the popular sites here and it's still pretty uncommon, even according to the baby name books. Neither of my sons had any Trystans in their classes. To me there's no real way to ensure that your baby name will be totally unique... unless you name them Treestump lol! When I named my son Maximus there were none... and then all of a sudden Max was popping up everywhere! Oh well... I think Trystan flows well with the rest of my kids' names!

Its a great name. That is my ex-bil name, and though I dislike him, the name is a good one. I know a handful of little Tristan's, both boy and girl, but like it better for a boy. And so true about names and not knowing popularity. We picked Brilee for our dd, and though I don't hear it often, I hear it way more than I thought I would, and then there are all the Riley's, Miley's, etc.
