Alright already! I'll jump in. I think I know most of you but for the ladies I don't know ... I'm Erin (30 .. yikes), mommy to Teagan (15 months). I'd call myself an avid baby-wearer but I've done nowhere near the amount of research that some mommies (ehem, Jackie ) have done.
Teagan was a monster infant. She was up to 20 lbs by 3 months old and that made BWing challenging. But, since she's only gained about 4 lbs since then I've had time to figure out how to wear her. The only carrier I'm using ATM is my Ergo. Its the only carrier that doesn't absolutely kill my back. I've also used a WAHM mai tai, a ring sling, a Moby, and a Kelty hiking pack, which I still use when hiking.
Here are a few BWing pics! They're big but I'm too lazy to resize them. Sorry.
Just last week in NYC with our Ergo
Chilling with G-pa in the WAHM mai tai, 6 months old
Doing housework in the Moby, 5 months old
In the ring sling on Daddy, 2 months old
Glad you're jumping in over here. Great pictures. I love that you got your grandpa in on the action! I got my mom to wear once and now she refuses to ever do it again.
There are lots of carriers that would fit Teagan still.
But I'd have to BUY those carriers, Jackie. DH has put me on strict "no more carriers" orders.
Yay Erin!! I'm glad you've been, um, persuaded over here!! It'll be great to have your input on stuff!
Great pics...love the grandpa one I couldn't get anyone else other than DH on board--my mom is super crunchy and supportive in spirit but a total physical wimp and afraid of learning new things. She tried my ring sling maybe once, and then gave up and bought a stroller for use at her house and even insisted on bringing it for outings together where I'd be the one carrying her "just in case"...ANNOYING.
