Default certified baby wearing instructor through BW Institute?

I'm thinking of becoming a "certified" baby wearing instructor through Baby Wearing Institute in Logan, UT.

Hubby and I are trying to be devil's advocate to make sure it's legit, so I thought I'd ask you ladies what you know about it.

    Ready, GO!

    They are legit.

I'm actually hoping to become a volunteer babywearing educator through Babywearing International, but need another 2 moms locally to do it with me! Going to UT isn't exactly convenient for me with a deploying husband. lol

I'm sure there's good info over at thebabywearer.com.

Yeah, going to UT isn't convenient for me, either. It's a 12 hour drive from where I'm at, or a $450 round trip flight. I still have some thinking to do. But glad it's legit.

There is a NW branch, I guess, that has a to be determined class in Washington (about 7 hour drive, instead). But it's not scheduled yet.

There are only 2 listed instructors in my state, and the closest one is a 4 hour drive, so I was thinking it might be cool to get it done and start up a local group and offer better knowledge.

Well..... I emailed the NW branch and found out they are in the process of relocating to northern Oregon. That puts them in my state, and about an hour closer. I have friends I can stay with in the city they are moving to, so it will be easier to save money (and I get to see my friends). They are looking at putting a fall class on the calendar.

I'm putting money aside for it now. I'm excited. Our area has NOTHING in the way of baby wearing here. I'm excited to educate families here. I'm hoping to do the advanced one at some point as the special needs families in town are easily accessible to me and the advanced class goes into special needs.
