Those are great Leigh! I love it! What dimensions is your fabric for the wrap?

Here is another ring sling I made today. I know it looks like the previous one, but this one is single layered and more narrow (24"), where the first one is 30".

I forced DH to try it out.

I still love those guitars. So modern! (and totally OT, but try getting the rings higher and see if it feels better)

Glad you got a pic of your DH BWing. I love men BWing photos.

Gosh, it was so long ago I don't remember. I'll have to pull them out and measure! Maybe that will inspire me to do something with them anyway.

    I love your guitars!

Kayla--the Moby type was actually no-sew. You can just get a few yards of jersey and cut it to the right size. I did end up sewing mine because I wanted organic jersey, which was more expensive, but by slicing it in thirds and sewing them end to end, I could buy less. Still...DIY wraps are not just for the seamstresses!

I've heard that jersey fabric doesn't need to be hemmed! Good to have that confirmation.

I finished my mai tai today:

I just finished it about 2 hours ago after DD was asleep, so I'll have to test it with her tomorrow.

It's reversable. Yes, the guitars again, lol. I am currenly a bit limited on my fabric selection and I'm going with a guitar theme for DS's nursery, so I'll be using all of that fabric before this is all over.

I also love the taco carrier

I'm planning on making a ring sling - or two - next week. LO and I are taking a pleasure-trip to my parent's house for a week. I'm glad to have free hands to sew and access to my Mom's huge fabric stash!!!!

ETA: oops! I saw that Jan's slings from sleepingbaby.net had gotten good reviews in the "all about ring slings" thread! I'll post pics once I'm done!

Are you following her tut? I love that style of shoulder because it provides some padding which really helps the heavier DS has gotten. I wish I knew how to sew (my poor family tried their hardest with me! lol), but I'm a failure. For now. Ha ha.

I am going to follow her tutorial! It seems excellent, so if it doesn't turn out it will be clearly my fault I'll be making two actually - one as a present for a girl on my BB, but she doesn't know it yet!

I'm also planning on making a riff on the Baby K'Tan - SO might cry if I buy another carrier this month (sound familiar?). I saw a friend wearing her 11-pound baby in a K'Tan and I loved it, but we also probably wouldn't get more than a few weeks of use before LO outgrew it. I'm still formulating details in my head, but I'm going to double-line it for a little more strength.
