Default Does your LO have a doll sling?

I just asked my MIL to sew a doll sling for Beni. I think we'll get her a new doll around the time the baby is due... and since I plan on wearing this baby so much, I figured she might like to copy cat and have her own sling. MIL said she would do it- she's a seamstress (made my wedding dress) so it should take her a matter of minutes to get it done whenever she decides to do it. I'm excited. I've wanted a doll sling for Beni, but couldn't imagine paying the prices I've seen online for them (the cheapest I've seen is $20).

Anyone else have one for their LO?

No, but that's a great idea! I do sew, and that would be super easy. A good idea for a birthday present to add that wouldn't add any extra money...I can take the rings off something else and I have a ton of fabric...ooh...

She will probably carry her piggy or bunny in it, though. She does sometimes play with her dolls, but not much yet. She's kind of a hardcore animal girl. Yesterday she took a diaper out of her diaper bag and though we kept suggesting she put it on the baby doll, instead she spent 15 minutes trying to put it on the dog (and yelling at him for moving )

What an adorable idea! Before I scrolled down I thought ...oooh I bet I could convince Skylark to whip out some really adorable doll slings!

Teagan has just started to become interested in dolls (really stuffed animals -- we have no actual human dolls) and I bet she'd love to wear a doll when she sees me wearing her future sibling. She loves to mimic us. She was SO excited to put her bike helmet on this morning when we plopped her in the bike trailer.

Ronin is not too interested in dolls and stuffed toys, apart from monkey and glowy (glow worm that sings) which we keep for bed time only, but when I have another one he might want to mimic so I will get one made for him, though I have a feeling trucks may get carried more than dolls or stuffed toys.

Aiden LOVES his Elmo, The Grinch, and his Cabbage Patch doll. I don't have a doll carrier, but I totally want to make a ring sling for him out of the gauze fabric I already own before the new squish arrives. I have small sling rings because I bought a bunch last year for lord knows why.

I see SSC ones pop up on TBW FSOT-OT for pretty cheap.

I was thinking too... who cares what the kid carries- we just put our most prized possessions in our ring slings, right? So for us it's a newborn...for our toddlers it's a monkey or a truck or maybe a doll. All the same to me!
