I want to get an Ergo for when DD is bigger.
How many pounds/height would she have to be for the Ergo to be comfortable for both of us, in your opinions?

It's not really anything to do with weight, just strength. Once she can comfortably hold her head up and doesn't need the extra support of a sling, it should work just fine. I think SSCs started to be really practical for us around 4 months. And I still use our Ergo (DD is 36" tall and about 30 lbs!)
It's not so much weight needed, but rather her size (so height) to fit in one correctly. They make infant inserts, but I'm not a fan of them unless it's going to be your only carrier ever. Seems like most people who have other newborn carrier options tend to find the insert an annoyance.
I first wore Aiden in an Ergo at 6 months. Here is the day we got it! He definitely wouldn't have been a very good fit before 5 months. He was very average in height and was 18ish pounds. His height was all in his torso and he was barely seeing out when I had him in the best seated position with his bum lower than his knees (which he definitely wasn't in with this pic lol).

I don't use it now, but DH uses as his carrier now and loves it. In another six months DH is going to have to retire it though because my son is a big time leaner and the carrier is getting too short on him (DS has a tall torso and he'll be 2 then).
Vivian will be physically capable of being carried in an Ergo by 3-4 months. I'd skip the infant insert with the Ergo. Once she gets a little better head control, try out the Mai Tai I sent you. If its too tall, you can roll the bottom a few times to shorten it.
You've got a MT?! Then you're set for a while! As long as your LO isn't huge like Teagan was as an infant, it should work for a bit. If I remember correctly it's a smaller sized MT (my mei tais I used with DS as a baby still work for us at 20 months to give you an idea of size difference!).

There's a pic of DS in a mei tai at 2 months in this post. I had the bottom rolled up. I did use it sooner than 2 months, but no pics of it. I wasn't as carrier picture taking crazy as I am now. lol

My MT was smaller but the one I gave Daisha is much bigger. It should last a looooong time. Vivian might just turn into a super chunk like Teagan and she's already demonstrating good head control for her age. I think the MT will be great!
