How do you store your carriers?

I know I've seen the right way to roll them up and stuff... but I'm more asking, where in your house do you actually keep them? Do you have a rack or a bin or a shelf? My RS is hanging on a hook by the front door, but, right now, the MT is just kind of folded up and dumped over the rail of the staircase. I just can't seem to figure out a good way/place to store them. And maybe that means I have too many? No, surely not. Smile

LOL Mara! I either have it rolled in the car, or hanging by the strap on a hook in the house, but I only have one!

Oh boy. I'll take some pics later for laughs.

And then maybe I'll put them where intended.

They are all over the place. I have an SSC, a wrap and a ring sling in the floorboard of the car. I have a wrap hanging off a hook on the coat rack, and I have 2 mai tais stuffed on a shelf cubby in the bedroom.

I only have one in current use, my Ergo, and it's either thrown on the floor of the truck (most of the time) or hanging on a coat hook by the door. Before that I only used a RS, which I kept either hanging on the back of a dining room chair, or on the coat hook hanging by the ring (handy!) most of the time.

Mei tais never really worked for me, so a daily use spot wasn't ever much of an issue, but the few times we did use one I kept it stored rolled up with the straps wrapped around it and shoved in the diaper bag.

Okay, DH took my car today so most of my currently being used carriers are with him (the man did leave the carseat at least this time!). But I have a pic from my DITL from last week! You can see DH's orange and rainbow Ergo, a piece of my size 5 Storch Anna wrap dangling down, and a small peek of my blue Didy waves shorty. Pretty sure my Beanslings toddler MT is hidden down there too.

Now here is where I want to store carriers in the house. I bought the hooks and hung it at the garage door just for my carriers, but yet somehow a couple of DH's uniforms end up there too....

Not very neat, but my size 6 Neobelle wrap (pink and brown), wrap conversion RS, mesh RS, purple linen RS, and my B'roo SSC are all hanging there. There is also where I've moved my bag for dirty napkins and cloths since DS can't (usually) reach this....oh and a Didy wrap scrap messenger bag is hanging there too.

Blurry sneak peak of the nursery....

Folded all nice and neat is my moby, a DIY gauze wrap, and my Mei Tai Baby. As soon as she's here I bet these carriers will never be so neatly folded ever again. But I am keeping the hooks clear for hanging up carriers that find their way up there. I have another set of hooks in DS's room that I can hang carriers on too if needed.

But the back of a couch is always available for carriers. Wink

Mine have always lived wadded up below the carseat or hung in T's closet if I'm feeling extra special organized.

Huh, I guess I'm more of a neat freak than I thought! I have a row of hooks up in the playroom (which is downstairs, close enough to the front door) but, it's the mei tais (which I have two of) that don't do well on hooks- and the Ergos, well, honestly, I guess the hooks are small and close together, but the Ergos are really big and bulky when hung up on those hooks. Harumph. Someone design a carrier storage system! Wink

If you're feeling neat freaky about it, something like one of those shoe cubbies might work...roll up and stuff?
