I'd love to sell some of the school related items. The Aggies recently defeated #1 ranked Alabama(?) so I was hoping some raging Aggies fan would want an Aggie pillow. I had one of DH's friends pay me to make 4 full sized fleece blankets for him. Just the cost of the fleece was $60 per blanket, but I ended up with some pieces left over and made a few things for my shop with it. I guess it needs to go on sale too.
I don't know what the town you're moving to is like, but if there's any shops there that sell stuff on consignment you should definitely look into it. Etsy is just so big and overstuffed, I think it's hard for potential customers to find you a lot of the time. With our baby clothes business, my SIL and I were really lucky to be able to work the local angle with a kids consignment store, and we've sold a ton more than I think we would have on Etsy alone (although we do need to get an online presence going as well...). You don't make as much per item since you have to split it with the store, but you definitely move more inventory.
XP: I got the sling yesterday--thank you!!!!!!!!! I'm desperate to open it and try it out just out of curiosity, but I don't want to mess up the pretty packaging....I'm torn. It's beautiful, though--Adair kept stealing it and running away with it so I had to hide it
