What is one (or two or three :lol:) carriers that you'd love to see and try in person? What if there was a knowledgeable babywearer to help you? Would you be willing to be more adventurous in your carrier choice? Is there a carrier that you have and wished you had one-on-one help with?

I love to try a podaegi (Korean baby carrier similar to the mei tai). I would definitely want help from a babywearer though because I keep thinking the baby would fall out in a back carry while I'm trying to get the top straps tight enough and back around to create the seat. Wonder if it's comfortable.....

I also would love to try out a mei tai wrap conversion. Or even a half buckle wrap conversion. They're made of woven wraps. A half buckle has a SSC waist with mei tai straps. Most wrap conversions have wide long straps so you get the woven wrap support.

Oh! I'd also love to try a PSling. There are some small difference between them and commonly seen ring slings. Would like to know what the fuss is all about and why they're so expensive! lol!

Hmmm...looks like the PSling is mostly different because of the high quality fabric and embossed rings, rather than structurally different. Looks super nice, though! I'd definitely try a linen RS next time.

As far as different types of carriers, if I had a newborn (that was normal and didn't hate being carried upright...and in the winter) I'm curious about the...oh shoot, what's the one that's like a prewrapped Moby, that you have to have sized? Starts with a K? Anyway, I'd like to give that a shot. I know some people really love them for that tiny stage, and I like the idea of not having the long ridiculous tails and wrapping but the same kind of support as a Moby.

I also like the idea of a half buckle wrap conversion. Kind of seems like it would be the best of both! I'd definitely like to check it out.

I know PSlings have to be adjusted differently and it's meant to be worn where you don't adjust hardly at all once set (not even to get the baby in and out). It's interesting.

And you're thinking of the K'tan. :)

I'd never pay that much for a carrier. That's just ridiculous.

I want (and will get) a wrap. T got so big so fast it made the Moby useless so quickly and I wasn't ready to give up the versatility of wrapping.

Uh, yeah...I DIY'd a bunch of carriers, got my Ergo handed down, and spent $20 on my used Maya. $395 is definitely not happening! I'd be curious to try one, though, if the opportunity arose!

Hmmm...reading the "FUNCTION" under "WHY SPECIAL" (...) I really think it sounds like a Maya, except with fancier fabric and rings that have better "grip": http://www.p-sling.com/whyspecial/function.html

They're supposedly an amazing toddler carrier and nothing really compares, which is why I want to try one so I could know for sure. But I'd never buy one either! I have seen some used seconds in plain colors sell for under $100 though. lol.

There are a whole bunch of wraps I want to try to compare. I am going to get a chance to try out at least one or two in a month when I meet up with Beccasweet. Pretty sure she's going to have more carriers than me shortly. lol. Hopefully she'll have reliable internet and will be on here more in another month or two.

I'd like to try a wrap under "supervision"! ha ha. My friend is bringing me a ring sling to try this Friday. I'd also like to try something that's linen to find out how much cooler the linen fabric is.

A wrap for sure. I keep thinking of making one, but I'd like to have a pro show me how to use one first. I hear the woven wraps are best. I would love something where I could wear DS on my back because I think I would be able to do household things that way. I'm not good at wearing him in the front and doing dishes/cooking etc.

And I've only ever bought one carrier and that's the Ergo, for $80. All others I have made myself.
